TJ Jones, Klein Oak, 2024

Jones has some very good reacting skills. He attacks the ball immediately when he recognizes a play. Jones has the height to be able to go up against any receiver. He is a guy that knows how to play cornerback or safety. He does not mind coming up to hit. Jones also is a guy that doesn't mind getting on an island by himself. Jones has some very good hands. He also knows how to handle himself in press coverage.

Daevon Iles, Port Arthur Memorial, 2024

Iles is a player that pays attention in the film room. I detect that from watching his film. This is a guy who is always catching interceptions. One one play he picks a bubble pass off in his opponents' end zone for a quick touchdown. Plays like that let me know a player was fully prepared to see that play in a game. He is very helpful in run support as well. Keep up with his name.

[player_tooltip player_id='402693' first='London' last='Smith'], ATH, University, 2026

Smith is a guy who is known for making big plays on offense. However, he is a guy that also does his thing on defense. He has good hands with superb ball skills. I don't know if he is going to be a DB on the next level, but the kid has some good DB traits. His hip movements are very fluent. He is patient and doesn't guess.

[player_tooltip player_id='1421097' first='Nathan' last='Tilmon'], Mansfield Timberview, 2025

Tilmon is a safety that knows how to cover a lot of ground. He makes quarterbacks have to fit the ball in to the receiver. He isn't a guy you want to have running under your football for interceptions. Tilmon reads offenses very well. He isn't a guy out there lost running around trying to make something happen. Tilmon is a general in the secondary.
