Highlights
Payne’s a strong, explosive athlete that finished at or near the top of every testing category among his position and was the best coverage LB in 1v1s. He has promising size and build (6’1”/205) for a LB his age and showed good control/movement of his frame during indy period. Payne showed quality upside that could help him produce a breakout junior season in the fall.
Burdett’s a big, physical ILB at 6’1”/235. He’s an active tackler around the LOS on film and was most effective in 1v1 coverage Sunday when he was able to jam receivers on the front end. He tested out right around the average among LBs in each category. Burdett recorded 100+ tackles as a junior.
Elroy was one of the older prospects at the event as one of four 2023s on Sunday. He’s a filled-out run stopping LB that was Fountain Valley’s leading tackler a season ago (69 total). He plays a little high and stiff at times on film but showed good movement during 1v1s and indy period. Elroy was an all-league selection in SoCal’s Sunset League last season.
Leuma’s a stout ILB that flashed solid LB skillset and technique. He’s an instinctive defender in coverage that breaks on the football with adequate stop-start agility and compact burst. Leuma totaled 61 tackles and took 35 carries as a RB in his junior season for Segerstrom.
Highlights
Molloy’s a dynamic two-way player for Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) at 6’3”/210. He demonstrates consistent pad level and is quick to react to the football as a defender. He led his team in tackles with 96 total and had another 18 catches and 2 TDs at TE last season. Molloy presents some workable size and upside on both sides of the ball.
