Continue ReadingI am in Texas, checking out some of the DFW area programs. Earlier this morning, I was able to check out Plano Senior HS. They have some studs returning that are going to be nice. Here are a few guys I expect to do a great job this season.
David Nwabuoku, 2025, DL
I’m a big fan of Nwabuoku. I love his length and skill. I think this young man has a lot of upsides. I also think that he is going to be a division one player. He could possibly receive some power five offers soon. He knows how to have those fighting hands. His ability to make tackles in the open field is very nice. He is somebody to keep up with.
Jaxon Lee, DE, 2024
Jaxon Lee is a prospect I was very excited to see today. When you watch his film, you can see he has a lot of speed. Lee is a 4.5 guy coming from the edge with a lot of quickness. However, I do think that he needs to work on his release. Sometimes, he stands straight up when he releases from the line. That allows offensive linemen the chance to get their hands in his chest. Lee is going to continue to thrive with his speed. He is a guy to keep up with.
Rohon Kazadi, DB, 2025
Kazadi is a guy that has good hips. He has decent speed and knows how to get his head around to find the football. He has the size to be a division one football player. He also has a good football IQ. Kazadi is very vocal as well. Those characteristics show me that he can be a big leader for this Plano team. He explained to me how hard his team has been working this off-season. Kazadi is a good kid that I expect to do great things.
Rodney Jones
Rodney
Jones
6'2" | 250 lbs | DL
Plano | 2025
State
TX
, DL, 2025
Jones is a big boy that handles himself well in the trenches. Jones is very strong with quick moves. Jones is a division one prospect whom I was glad I got a chance to meet today. He has a nice release from the line. Jones also can make tackles in open space. You don’t see many of his guys that can handle themselves as he does. He is a prospect that we should keep up with.
Donald Smith, DB, 2025
Smith is another cornerback on this team with good hips and speed. He is another 2025 prospect to help this team return to their traditional championship ways next season. Smith has good reaction skills. He knows how to get back in a play when he is out of position. He is a prospect that I will be watching closely this season.
Jeffrey Sekula
Jeffrey
Sekula
6'1" | 200 lbs | LB
Plano | 2024
State
TX
, LB, 2024
I was excited to meet Sekula today. I have been watching his film and wanted to see how he was physically fit. Sekula does a great job of controlling his body when his coach sends him on a blitz. He also does a good job keeping his head on a swivel during coverage. He is young, so he does have a few things to work on. He looks like he is going to be a hybrid linebacker. That said, he needs to work on being quicker and faster.
Jordan McCroy, WR, 2025
McCroy is a speedster who knows how to get open. He comes from a good bloodline of athletes on both sides of his family. He has those Mississippi roots, so you know he doesn’t mind getting gritty. McCroy is also a crafty route runner. He is a prospect to know.
