Grab your milk and cookies this weekend and learn about some amazing Texas running backs and linebackers still looking for a place to call home for the next four years. Prep Redzone and our staff have worked a lot of numbers and watched a great deal of film to compile this list. Before you are a list of players in order in which we rank them as a staff collectively. However, you will find that each player on this list is as good as any other, it’s just a matter of fact if they fit a particular scheme or need for a college. For more, you may follow me on Twitter and stay up to date on all eligible recruits @LoboRecruits also, please follow our @PrepRedzoneTX for the latest topics and recruits. Here they are. Enjoy and cheers! Runningbacks: 1.[player_tooltip player_id="60151" first="Camar" last="Wheaton"] 6’1 195lbs | RB | Lakeview Centennial Camar is number one on our list for a reason. I’ll let his film do the talking. Enjoy! https://twitter.com/LoboRecruits/status/1334905949543337993 Camar has offers to the University of Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and Baylor just to name a few.
   2. [player_tooltip player_id="60162" first="LJ" last="Johnson"] 5’10" 204 lbs | RB | Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX) LJ is a speedy running back who can make guys miss in the open field. He has breakaway speed and good ball vision as a runningback. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EHEY5 LJ has offers from Texas, Texas A&M. LSU, Oklahoma, and Alabama and others.
3.[player_tooltip player_id="60215" first="Ahmonte" last="Watkins"] 5’10" 173 lbs | RB | Klein Forrest ( Houston, TX) Watkins is an athlete. I believe he could play at the quarterback position as a runner and or even wideout. He is a truly gifted athlete and can make an impactful play. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EWhqa Ahmonte has offers from Mississippi State, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Arizona and others.
4. [player_tooltip player_id="60229" first="De’Anthony" last="Lewis"] 6’0" 195lbs | RB | Judson I’ve personally see De’Anthony play and he is a leader on the field as well as in the classroom. Great kid, who can make big plays on the field happen and give his team a spark when they need it. He currently leads his team in rushing yards and is still looking for a place to call home for the next four years. http://www.hudl.com/v/2CaN6m De’ Anthony has offers from Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Houston, Kansas, and others.
5.[player_tooltip player_id="60235" first="Kaden" last="Meredith"] 5’9" 179lbs | RB | Longview, TX Kaden has great speed and can burst through an open hole in the O-Line. He can also move laterally well with his feet and make defenders miss. No wonder these offensive teams that are recruiting him now think he could be special for their offense. http://www.hudl.com/v/2Eix0R Kaden has offers from UTSA, Air Force, Arkansas State, Army, Hawaii, and others.
6.[player_tooltip player_id="60292" first="Alton" last="McCaskill"] 6’1 200lbs | RB | Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX) Alton is a tall lengthy back who can make plays by making defenders miss. His speed is anywhere from a 4.4 to a 4.6 40 yard dash on the field and he shows it. A great leader on and off the field. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EfAzV Alton has offers to Houston, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, USC, and Vanderbilt
7.[player_tooltip player_id="60345" first="Kevin" last="Young"] 5’8" 171 lbs. | RB | Cedar hill Don’t let his size full you Kevin does not shy away from contact. He has good speed and has a good balance after contact. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EPypQ Kevin has offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Army, New Mexico State, North Texas, and many more.
8. [player_tooltip player_id="60389" first="Tylan" last="Hines"] 5’7 170 lbs | RB | Plano Out of all the runningbacks on this list. Do not sleep on this one. I think he could be a good runningback on any coach’s staff. He wouldn’t be a number one guy right away but defiantly a good number 2 or 3 running back who can bring a solid contributor to your offense and a productive one at that. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EisaB Tylan has offers from Navy, Air Force, Illinois State, Northwestern State, Sam Houston, and others.
9. Julius Loughbridge 6’0" 210 lbs. | RB | Mayde Creek Julius has big-time playability, it’s no wonder why he has such great offers already. He is an electrifying player who can run as well as catch the ball out of the backfield. He is very stout and you can tell he put in great effort this last offseason to add more muscle to his play. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EfAAD Julius has offers from Colorado state, SFA, Texas State, Army, Navy and Sam Houston to name a few.
10. [player_tooltip player_id="60441" first="Keamodre" last="Horace"] 5’9" 195 lbs. | RB | Center KeAmodre is defiantly a workhorse type back who you can feed the ball to for consistent production on every down. The truth is all of these backs listed are special in their own way for different types of offenses that have different needs or schemes. Everyone is great and it’s been rough to list them in the order you now see. Enjoy some tape. http://www.hudl.com/v/2EdJyx KeAmodre has offers from UTSA, Fresno State, Texas State, and North Texas as well as others.
Linebackers: 1. [player_tooltip player_id="60217" first="Keith" last="Cooper"] 6’4" 230 lbs. | LB | Dickinson Keith the beast should be his nickname but he has probably though if a better one. Keith is a strong defense end who can stand up or put his hand in the ground. He explodes off the snap of the ball and has a tremendous bend to get around the edge rush while utilizing hand moves. Very athletic and I see him being a star at the next level. https://twitter.com/KeithCo2021/status/1312082203795316738 Keith has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Boston College, and California
2. Shepard Bowling 6’0" 210 lbs. | OLB | Katy Shepard plays great against the run and reads opposing offenses well. He looks like a very athletic linebacker who can stand up and make plays as a Sam or Will linebacker. He’s an electrifying player with great ability. And makes a lot of plays in the backfield. He can drop back and cover the past he has great career stats with plenty of tackles, TFL‘s and interceptions. http://www.hudl.com/v/2Bg38q Dominik has offers from Louisiana Tech, Nevada, UNLV, UTSA and others.
4. [player_tooltip player_id="60367" first="Jalen" last="Jones"] 5’11" 202 lbs | LB | South Oak Cliff Jaylin is a very smart linebacker who swarms to the ball. [player_tooltip player_id="60408" first="Brandon" last="Tucker"] 5’11" 220 lbs | LB | DeSoto No game at De Soto is a walk in the park. You have to be a gifted athlete just to step on the field. Brandon is a great player. Very athletic and not afraid of contact. He puts in great study time in the film room and it shows on the field. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/11125705/5f8e56554bb28c097cdd05b1 Brandon has offers from Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Rice, FIU, East Central University, and others.
6.[player_tooltip player_id="60482" first="Ca’Lub" last="Holloway"] 6’1 205 lbs | LB | South Hills Ca’lub is an athlete who can play both sides of the ball. Runningback if you want him to and linebacker. Either way, he will make any team a lot of plays. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/9778709/5d9f9c83041e3716dcd3f17f Ca’lub has offers from Houston Baptist, Illinois State, and New Mexico as well as others.
7. [player_tooltip player_id="60509" first="Stefan" last="Ingram"] 5’11 205 Ibs | LB | Cedar Hill This guy is built like DK Metcalf (okay maybe not as much, but you get the picture). Tremendous strength and ability. I see him as the standout star of the group who would be a steal for any defense. He can play strong safety as well as any position at linebacker. http://www.hudl.com/video/3/10918774/5d84f09b02bc41099cff9980 Stefan has offers from Illinois State,
9.
