. Michael has the ability to disrupt an entire offensive game plan with his aggressive pass rush and ability to swallow up runners in the vicinity. Once you are within Michael’s grasp, there’s no getting away from him. With the upper body strength Michael has, his big, bear claw of hands just need a grip on the runner to be able to rip them down to the ground.
Michael may not be the quickest, but he makes up for it with the amount of real estate he takes up at the line. Offenses will have little success blocking Michael one-on-one in 2024 and will often require a running back to chip him on the way out or they’ll have to dedicate two blockers to keep him away from the pocket. While I think Michael is an excellent defensive talent, I think he also has a lot of potential to start at the next level on the offensive side of the ball. He has the size necessary to excel as a strong, reliable blind side tackle.

Michael has good size standing at 6’4″ and 255lbs, he carries his weight well and can be a 270lb DT easily. Is a heavyweight wrestler as well and it shows when you see him live. He’s light on his feet on plays on his toes with good agility. Worked out at both OL and DL during the showcase but he will be best at DT and he showed that during 1v1s. A nice combo of power and quickness, Michael can be you multiple ways. Showed he has the ability to bullrush blockers and over power them as well as firing off the ball and getting skinny, shooting the gap with a nice swim move. A strong player, he gets good leverage, can one arm guys and plays with a high motor.

breathing down his neck each and every practice. Dwyer made 39 stops (3 for a loss), 1 FR, 1 FF, and 5 hurries for the Lions last fall.
Dwyer is focused on blowing up his matchup each and every down he plays. He does a nice job getting into the body of the o-lineman and driving his feet. This establishes a new LOS in the backfield and a roadblock the offense must now work around. You can see that Dwyer fights and claws every single snap, delivering maximum effort every single play. He likes the arm-over to get into position to make plays. An area for Dwyer to improve is to strain-and-separate from the o-lineman. We see him kind of barrel into the offense – yes, driving them back – but he is not in the best position to make an immediate stop.
Dwyer is a big, physical, nasty specimen in the middle of the defense. The tone he sets, smacking whistle to whistle, is one that the Lion seem to rally behind and respond to.
