<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Section V is full of tough football players in the upstate NY region. In this article, we go over high school football players in Rochester that may not be getting a ton of love, but certainly have the game that you will want to check out. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["527789"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":761605,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"If you want a player that confidently and consistently breaks tackles at a high level, then you found it here with [player_tooltip player_id='527789' first='Dashaun' last='McClemmon']. This is a 5'9” RB at Greece Arcadia High School that runs with a lot of purpose and the will to win. The mixture of speed and quickness to weave throughout traffic was simply amazing to watch on film. McClemmon may not be the fastest player on the field, but he was still able to gain large chunks of yardage on most carries, and out run many defenders on his way to the end-zone. What is obvious is McClemmon is a workhorse back! This past year, Dashaun had 1,309 total yards on 206 carries, and with 23 receptions. This is a player that was a staple of this Greece Arcadia offense and certainly will continue to be coming into this season.rnrnThe field vision on McClemmon is a trait that stood out when rushing with the football. So many times, Dashuan was able to see the slightest holes at the LOS and breakthrough for a large gain. Why is McClemmon so good at making defenders miss so often? It is because of his natural balance when embracing contact. Being able to weave and cut on a dime was extraordinary for this young man.rnrnWhat I love the most out of Dahuan's ability on the football field is his willingness to fight for every yard and being able to have so much flexibility to the point that he can line-up outside as a WR. When the ball is in this young man's hands, special plays happen. What is even more important is that McClemmon has goals to get closer to his teammates and have a winning season. For the future, Dashuan wants to play college football and in college take photography. I told McClemmon to check out Marshall Faulk, because he has a very similar type of game. Awesome player that will be fun to watch this upcoming season.rnrnTwitter: @Th3realShaunnyrnrnInstagram: @omg_shaunnyrnrnHudl Profile:u003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/15867795/Dashaun-D-Mcclemmonu0022u003ehttps://www.hudl.com/profile/15867795/Dashaun-D-Mcclemmonu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a0c6d"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/hudl {"name":"acf/hudl","data":{"embed_code":"u003ciframe src='https://www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/15867795/6361b9a6b023a10a8caae9f4' width='640' height='360' frameborder='0' allowfullscreenu003eu003c/iframeu003e","_embed_code":"field_62daf7995fd8c"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a0cc4"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":761433,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Drew Hilfker","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"6'0u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"2409","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Webster Schroeder","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Over at Webster Schroeder High School they have 6'0”, 165-pound QB named Drew Hilfker who is a fresh playmaker at the QB position. Coming into this season, Hilfiker will be a senior and the official starting QB for the Webster Schroeder Warriors. This is a player that has been itching to get on the field and produce for his football team.rnrnOn film, Drew has showcased his ability to avoid the rush with his legs and making something out of nothing. The pure arm talent even at a younger age was showcased throughout his film. Certainly, Hilfker is a QB that is not afraid to take chances down the field to give his receivers an opportunity to make a play on the football. The confidence and pure passing accuracy to hit open receivers did flash throughout my study of Drew's film.rnrnThis past season, Drew did start 2 games. One of those games was a sectional playoff game resulting in a victory for Webster Schroeder. Hilfiker spoke about how he is ready to be the big-time starter for his football team. Making a run at the Class A State Championship is a goal that Hilfiker has in his sights in addition to winning a Section V Championship. An exciting opportunity for this fresh and young senior QB.rnrnTwitter: @DrewHilfikerrnrnInstagram: @drewh23_rnrnHudl Profile: u003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/15774207/Drew-Hilfikeru0022u003ehttps://www.hudl.com/profile/15774207/Drew-Hilfikeru003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a0d87"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/hudl {"name":"acf/hudl","data":{"embed_code":"u003ciframe src='https://www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/15774207/60821e8a90f9ad1ac8826383' width='640' height='360' frameborder='0' allowfullscreenu003eu003c/iframeu003e","_embed_code":"field_62daf7995fd8c"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a0dae"} /--> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":761466,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Stuart Smith","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"6'2u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"2405","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"University Prep Rochester","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Stuart Smith is a driving force at the LT position and on the defensive line for the high school of University Prep Rochester. This is a monster 6'2”, 250-pound player that has an incredible amount of balance and power when he makes a block at any level. When attacking a block as well, the pure aggressiveness is all over his film. Smith knows how to remain in control, use his lower body leverage to win at the point of attack, and finally he knows how to assist his teammates in blocks on critical plays that may open a hole up for the designated ball carrier.rnrnI was impressed with the pure athleticism that Stuart has for his age and his pure size. This is an OT that you can utilize on pull action blocks because of his natural ability to get out into space to be that lead block for the ball carrier. On the defensive side of the ball, Smith talked about how his goal is to get 10 sacks and 10 TFLs when the upcoming year comes to an end.rnrnAdditionally, ending the year with winning a brick as Stuart stated will be an achievement that his teammates and him want to accomplish. Receiving more interests and offers from collegiate programs to continue to play the game of football would be an awesome opportunity for Smith.rnrnTwitter: @StuartSmithJrrnrnInstagram: @Footballstu_rnrnHudl Profile: u003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/17745125/Stuart-Smithu0022u003ehttps://www.hudl.com/profile/17745125/Stuart-Smithu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a0e86"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/hudl {"name":"acf/hudl","data":{"embed_code":"u003ciframe src='https://www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/17745125/63268f0ddfd97106449de3f0' width='640' height='360' frameborder='0' allowfullscreenu003eu003c/iframeu003e","_embed_code":"field_62daf7995fd8c"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a0eac"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":761511,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='1283933' first='Quamere' last='Reynolds']","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"5'11u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"2405","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"East High School","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"This is a versatile and savvy offensive lineman from East High School that has an endless amount of aggressiveness. [player_tooltip player_id='1283933' first='Quamere' last='Reynolds'] weighs in at 230-pounds and will be entering into his junior season for East. The majority of Reynold's snaps came at the center position where he was always quick coming right off of his accurately snapped footballs at the QB. Providing that initial push right off the snap is what you want from your starting center and is what Quamere provides for East High.rnrnThe u003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003erelentlessnessu003c/spanu003e to always win at the point of attack by leaning or driving a defender into the direction that he wants is Reynold's go-to trait. A very huge ability to down/drive block in the run game. Even when getting pushed backwards a tad bit, the pure ability to recover and win the leverage battle was a huge plus on tape for Reynolds. In Quamere's pass protecting sets, he has great feet and gives his QB a ton of space to step up and deliver a throw in the middle of the pocket. Rarely was Quamere ever getting blown right through by the opposing defender because of how strong his natural anchor ability is.rnrnOverall, Reynolds produced a really impressive tape this past season and is looking to carry over that impressive play into this upcoming season. Young has been playing the game of football since 6th grade. Young stands in at 5'11” and weighs 160-pounds, which is a solid mold for working the middle of the field as a slot receiver. There was a lot of great work ran here in the slot because of Young's ability to run routes with a high amount of speed and quickness.rnrnThe majority of Young's snaps came in the slot as the Y receiver for Aquinas Institute, but he was also used on the outside boundary time-to-time. Being able to come off the LOS and deliver a fast two-step slant move was Nico's go-to move, and it would allow him to gain a large scale of separation before securing the catch. What is also evident is Young's ability to run fluid routes when facing press coverage on the outside. Additionally, being able to sell a route, would grant Young and his team successful gains on plays that were not directed at him.rnrnComing into his varsity year is going to be a huge mountain to climb for Young. The reason why I state this is because of how Damari talked about why he wants to play the game of football at the next level. Damari stated that he wants to play football at the collegiate level because it is not only going to allow him to learn new experiences, but it will also allow him to evolve in learning to be an adult by being able to take care of himself. Being discipline in the aspect of football and life is what Green is aiming for.u003c/spanu003ernrnu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eWhen it comes to the game of football, Green was used in a variety of positions such as RB, WR, FS, SS, Slot CB, and even running the wildcat! This is an extraordinary football player with athletic skills that jump off his tape. Starting off on the offensive side of the ball, Green was utilized in so many gadget plays such as RB outs, WR screens, and jet sweeps. The majority of Damari's reps on offense came at the RB spot, where he was able to display his tremendous ability to accelerate by defenders effortlessly on his way to the end zone. Reading as the blocks unfold and attacking the correct holes is what you like to see, and Green was able to display that ability. u003c/spanu003ernrnu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eI had even more enjoyment watching Green on the defensive side of the football. I even told Damari as impressive as his offensive tape was, his defensive tape is what really made my eyebrows rise. The pure ability to be aggressive and attack the ball carrier with rage was all over his film. Reading and reacting with fury granted Green with the ability to slip by blocks and make tackles on ball carriers in all areas of the field. Lastly, Green spoke that he has goals by the end of next season that he wants to reach. The first is to be named the best athlete in Section V and to lead his team to a State Championship. u003c/spanu003ernrnu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eTwitter: @DamariGreen19u003c/spanu003ernrnu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eInstagram: @cannotfindmariu003c/spanu003ernrnu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eHudl Profile:u003c/spanu003eu003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/16709580/Damari-Greenu0022u003e u003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003ehttps://www.hudl.com/profile/16709580/Damari-Greenu003c/spanu003eu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64335367a1114"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/hudl {"name":"acf/hudl","data":{"embed_code":"u003ciframe src='https://www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/16709580/63e1ab09bd6abe13d0b0bc17' width='640' height='360' frameborder='0' allowfullscreenu003eu003c/iframeu003e","_embed_code":"field_62daf7995fd8c"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643362ebe040b"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":763016,"_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Jayden Vargas ","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"6'1u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"2405","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Greece Arcadia","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Jayden Vargas is a fast-moving OT for Greece Arcadia High School that will be entering into his senior season standing in at 6'1” and weighing 240-pounds. This is a very athletic OT that majority of his reps came at the RT spot and spent some time at the DT position as well. Vargas talked to me about how he wants to be the best player that he can be for his team and get stronger each day.rnrnThe huge spotlight in Jayden's game is his ability to get off the LOS to get into the second level; making critical blocks on the LBs in the run game. There is a lot of intensity and will to be fierce at the point of attack in Jayden's game. Being able to set that first block on the outside C-gap was huge for his teams' ability to win on outside runs. This is an RT that holds up extremely well against power rushers. Having a great lower center of gravity when initial contact is made granted Vargas with tremendous lift in pass protection. Being able to fire his hands and combat with the defenders/pass rushers was a huge part of his win rate.rnrnWhen it comes to the DT spot, Vargas uses his size to his advantage to plug up holes and allow his teammates to make plays on the ball carrier. I have never had a player actually list out goals, and rarely even 5 goals. Jayden's 5 goals for the upcoming 2023 season are; u0022Get as stronger and faster, especially with footwork. Work on technique as an offensive lineman and defensive linemen. Be the smart and keep learning more about the game of football. Giving it my all; to have a winning record to secure a spot for sectionals. Being a leader for the younger guys and even guys my age.rnrnTwitter: @Jayden_vargas55rnrnInstagram: @jayden_vargas55rnrnu003ca href=u0022https://www.hudl.com/profile/15965922/Jayden-Vargasu0022u003eHudl Profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/15965922/Jayden-Vargasu003c/au003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643362ebe04ba"} /--> <!-- wp:acf/hudl {"name":"acf/hudl","data":{"embed_code":"u003ciframe src='https://www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/15965922/6361aaedbed6c60ba0554a4f' width='640' height='360' frameborder='0' allowfullscreenu003eu003c/iframeu003e","_embed_code":"field_62daf7995fd8c"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-643362ebe04e5"} /-->
