Following the last week of regular season football games throughout the state of Georgia, Colquitt High School, as well as Grayson High, both managed to finish out the regular season atop the entire state. Each team finished the season undefeated. Grayson, who finished the regular season 9-0, and Colquitt, who finished 7-0, are both poised to take it to the next level as they step into the post season. As these two teams have showed that they are clearly the most dominant teams in the entire state, it will be fun to see where this will take them.
Entering into the first week of the post season, which will occur on 11/27, Colquitt will be facing off against a strong Brookwood football team. The Packers will be facing their fair share of competition, as Brookwood has their own group of talented players as well. Brookwood’s group of talent includes players such as [player_tooltip player_id="34009" first="Dylan" last="Lonergan"], enylon Morrissette, Alexander Diggs, and Jackson Schulz. These talented prospects will be facing Colquitt’s depth of talent, that includes [player_tooltip player_id="33696" first="Lemeke" last="Brockington"], [player_tooltip player_id="33747" first="Zy" last="Brockington"], [player_tooltip player_id="33750" first="Omar" last="Daniels"], Xavier Williams, and TJ Spradley. This game should be an all out battle, as both offenses and defenses are stacked with great prospective talent.
For Grayson, their game comes with a little bit less of a challenge, as they will be playing against a 2-6 Tift County, which is not nearly as talented as they are. While the Rams are stacked with talent from the top of their roster, to the bottom of it, Tift County cannot even compare. For starters, Grayson football’s roster includes the likes of Jake Garcia, [player_tooltip player_id="33678" first="Phil" last="Mafah"], DaeDae Reynolds, Sebastian Sagar, Jaidan Jackson, [player_tooltip player_id="33748" first="Jamal" last="Haynes"], Jayvian Allen, [player_tooltip player_id="33658" first="Victoine" last="Brown"], [player_tooltip player_id="34014" first="Michael" last="Daugherty"], and Noah Collins. This far outweighs Tift County’s roster, as a few of their notable players only include Tyre West, and Cade Anders. From the start of this game, to its finish, Grayson should not have a hard time dominating it’s competition. As they look to steam roll Tift, look for them to be ready to face whoever comes their way in the second round.
