He is a big bodied outside weapon that can cover ground with long strides and adjusts to the ball well in the air. He is a true vertical threat that can stretch the field and get over the top while using body positioning and creating separation downfield to his advantage. He is used out wide and in the slot, shows good initial speed and strong hands while able to get off press coverage and make 50/50 catches in the red-zone. Still working on after the catch movement and running strong, he does a nice job at positioning his body and boxing out smaller defenders while tracking the ball well when making contested catches. He is hard to bring down in the open field as he shows strong lateral movement abilities and short area quickness to make defender miss in space. Rawlings can run a variety of different routes and can go up and win 50/50 balls against bigger corners due to vertical leap and high point abilities when making contested catches. He shows an explosive first step, strong hands from various angles and can track the bell well downfield and make contested catches.
