Running backs in the class of 2025 have the potential to explode on to the scene this upcoming season. Today we are going to spotlight several running backs to keep an eye on in 2023.
Devine Green Devine Green 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Duncanville | 2025 TX -Duncanville-5’9” 180-Pounds
Devine Green Devine Green 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Duncanville | 2025 TX is a running back that has good vision and the ability to use it to find the rushing lane. He will not be brought down on initial contact and he can run right through the initial defenders. Green can run it between the tackles but also cut the run to the outside and take off down the sideline. He is a running back that gets better as the game drags on and wears on. I look for him to be a prospect that will catch the attention of scouts over the next couple of seasons. He is a running back to keep an eye on in 2023.

Riley Wormley Riley Wormley 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Southlake Carroll | 2025 State TX has tremendous versatility at the running back position. He can be lined up all over the field for Colleyville Heritage. Wormley is blessed with tremendous speed and he has a second gear that he can kick in to in the blink of an eye. He is a running back that has no problems rushing between the tackles. Meanwhile, Wormley can cut any run to the outside and cause problems for the linebackers and opposing secondary. He is a running back to watch out for as the 2023 season approaches.

The Frisco Heritage running back is a powerful runner with a knack for breaking tackles. Nick Clark Nick Clark 5'10" | 160 lbs | RB Frisco Heritage | 2025 State TX is a running back that can work out of the backfield as an effective wide receiver. Clark has impressive vision and does a great job of finding the rushing lane. He has the patience to wait for a rushing lane to develop before exploding through the hole. Last season, Clark had a tremendous season, both running and receiving the ball. I look for the 2023 season to be another impressive season from Clark.

Chad Gasper Chad Gasper 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Katy Jordan | 2025 State TX does an excellent job of allowing a rushing lane to develop. He explodes through the hole quickly and gets to the second level with impressive speed. Gasper displays good vision and the ability to cut the run to the outside. He is not afraid to run between the tackles and has shown the ability to carry defenders with him. Gasper is another running back that has three down capability and can be used in the passing game effectively. He is a running back to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.
Jacob Everson Jacob Everson 6'0" | 210 lbs | RB Klein Oak | 2025 State TX -Klein Oak-6’0” 200-Pounds
The Klein Oak running back is a powerful runner with the talent to break out of tackles. Everson’s speed is impressive and he has a second gear when he gets into the open field. He has no trouble rushing between the tackles and he can break out of initial contact easily. Everson is a patient running back and he chooses his rushing lanes wisely. Klein has the potential to have a strong 2023 season and his recruitment is going to be interesting to watch over the next few seasons.
