DE Terrance Fuller Lutheran North c/o 21. Lutheran North has a history of producing the most dangerous defensive line in the state of Missouri, from defensive lineman Renell Wren for the Cincinnati to defensive end for Ohio State, Ronnie Perkins. Fuller is the next one up that will be a monster in college next year. His size and speed off the line is impeccable. This season, Fuller has 24 tackles, six tackles for loss, and five sacks. He is able to play anywhere on the line, and he will disrupt any passing play.
DE Jamond Mathis Duschene High School c/o 23. Not only he’s a running back, this man is a dominant defensive end as well. Mathis is the sixth sack leader in the state, recording 14 sacks and 37 tackles. He also holds the number one spot in fumble recoveries. Mathis is an athlete all around, he’s fast and is very quick off the ball.
DL Dominic Bentrup Summit High School c/o 24. For a freshman, this kid has skill. Bentrup has shown that he can hang around with the big boys. Bentrup has great technique off the ball, getting off blocks, and has great sense in tracking the quarterback. He had 21 tackles and six sacks for this season.
LB Will Doherty Francis Howell c/o 21. This guy is a monster at the linebacker position. Wherever the ball is at, Doherty will be the first one on leading the pack. He is also a nightmare to quarterbacks, for he always finds a way into the backfield to disrupt plays. This season, Doherty had 102 total tackles, 2 sacks, and an interception.
LB Luke Picht Fort Zumwalt South c/o 21. Although the Bulldogs took a hard loss to their rival, Zumwalt North, Picht made sure that he went out with a bang. The senior safety finished his final season in his high school career with 150 tackles, a sack, and two interceptions. Picht had left it all on the field throughout this whole season. He will be one of the top recruits colleges will be looking at. His speed, and aggressiveness is what makes him an outstanding football player.
LB Alex Heitmann Alex Heitmann 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB Orchard Farms | 2021 MO Orchard Farm c/o 21. The Eagle may have taken a loss to Wright City in the first round, but Heitmann was another senior that played his heart out for his last season. The 5’10 190 lbs senior played both sides of the ball, running the ball like a madman on offense and turning into a tackling machine on defense. Heitmann is the definition of a workhorse. He finished his senior year with 124 total tackles, placing him 2nd in the state. Any powerhouse school would be blessed to have him on any side of the ball.
LB Dawson Jakoubek Dawson Jakoubek 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Jefferson R-7 | 2021 State MO Jefferson High School c/o 21. The Blue Jays have been on a role so far with Jakoubek leading the defense. The 6’1 225 lbs linebacker is a hard hitter, placing third in the state for tackles with 123 total tackles. Jakoubek has great pursuit to the ball, and is excellent on special teams. He has made a huge impact on the defense and has great reads against other opponents. Jakoubek is a player to watch in the playoffs.
DB Robert Rezex Robert Rezex 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Fort Zumwalt North | 2021 State MO Fort Zumwalt North c/o 21. He may be a superstar on offense, but he can be a ballhawk on defense. Rezex has had an outstanding senior year all around. From running the ball and playing receiver to playing like a lockdown defensive back, the kid is talented. Rezek has four picks for the season. Not only he has an eye for the ball, but he is able to come down and tackle. This is what college coaches will be looking for.
DB Zach Bensing Zach Bensing 6'1" | 160 lbs | WR Fort Zumwalt South | 2021 MO Fort Zumwalt South c/o 21. South had a decent season. Bending is one of the seniors that had a standout season at the defensive back position. He caught four interceptions and had 78 tackles for the season, catching three in the last three games. He is an amazing athlete with an ambitious hustle. He will be a dominant force at the next level.
DB Kendal Gurley Francis Howell c/o 24. Although the Vikings loss to Desmet in the district championship, they had an outstanding season overall. Gurley was one of the major key players on Howell’s defense along with Doherty. The young freshman recorded four interceptions as well, and 26 tackles. Gurley has a lot of years left to develop more into the player he’s destined to be.
DB Kaleb Mays Lutheran St Charles c/o 24. Mays might be a freshman, but he plays like an upperclassmen. He is a young defensive back with a high ambition to be the best player on the field. Mays had four total interceptions this season and 18 tackles. He is one of the young ballhawks that will go up and attack the ball. Mays will be a dog by the time of his senior year.
