Expert Analysis
Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Cox is a massive prospect, standing at 6’9″ 360-pounds, he stands out in on the field. The CBA-Syracuse prospect holds one offer from Syracuse with other schools interested in the talented lineman.
He reminds me of “The Blindside” movie as he is extremely physical and holds a lot of power in his blocking. Listing as a tackle, he moved inside to the Guard position during the season. He has an elite IQ and creates gaps in the run game while holding strong in the passing game. His athleticism is viewable on tape and is used on every snap. For a guy who is 360 pounds and 6’9″, he moves perfectly. Getting him on the field for every play is needed.
Cox is easily a top ten prospect, who at the next level, will be utilized with a good nutrition and athletic program to enhance his traits. Easily a top lineman in Section Three.

could easily end up at guard – the position he ends up at will likely come down to how he develops his body/frame. His tape is pretty much all at guard, I think if he slims down enough there will be some coaches who would try him at tackle because of his 7’3 wingspan.
Cox is an interesting evaluation because he is not an every-down offensive lineman for CBA-Syracuse. Granted, their riches at the position would be part of the reason for that. Cox put some excellent reps on tape. He does need to cut weight, but he moves really well for a guy at 360 in his Junior year. There is athleticism there that you see flashes of, that a college weight and nutrition program can unlock.
There is no doubt he has the size and the power—the next step is getting to a point where he can be an every-down impact offensive lineman, and many coaches, myself included, will become more confident in his evaluation.

Cox, who has continued to lose weight to get in better playing shape, has transformed himself as a prospect over the past season, although there is still more work to go. Offers from Syracuse and Rutgers kicked off the recruitment for the biggest offensive lineman in New York, and his tape flashes some movement and power that is truly one-of-a-kind in New York.

has a size advantage over nearly every prospect that plays the game of football in the Northeast. The 6’9 370 offensive lineman from CBA-Syracuse has made massive strides in improving his body to play at the next level.
Cox is still a raw prospect and learning a lot heading into his Junior season. He is a really big prospect, and on film, he moves better than you would think. Cox has natural strength with his size and can push guys around, but his rank is a projection of where he will be in a couple of years. There is a reason Cox has multiple FBS offers, and it is because he is one of the most physically imposing players in the Northeast, and he has an incredibly high ceiling.

who just picked up his first division one offer from the hometown division one team Syracuse took a visit to Rutgers and picked up his second offer when he was there. Cox is one of the biggest OL prospects in the state and his size and strength are showcased in his film, some of the best sophomore offensive line film in the state.

towers over them all. Cox, at 6’9 360lbs is a massive human being and he continues to slim down and develop his body the right way. Cox put some impressive reps on tape this past fall and picked up a well-deserved offer from his hometown school Syracuse this past week. This is Cox’s first offer but do not be surprised if he becomes one of the next hot names on the recruiting report as coaches visit schools through the spring.

is the biggest 26′ in New York at 6’7 330lbs, the Sophomore saw a huge increase in playing time this season for CBA-Syracuse, mostly due to the development he has made in his body and his weight. With plenty of tape to evaluate, there are some impressive traits Cox displays. For a player his size, Cox moves laterally well, enough so that CBA is comfortable playing him both at tackle and guard. Cox also shows some nasty finishing on tape bringing guys to the ground. Fundamentally there is a lot to work on mostly in his footwork and hand placement. From a size and strength standpoint, not many in the northeast have what Cox does. The improvement from his freshman season alone is massive so the future remains bright for Cox.

is on this list for an obvious reason. CBA-Syracuse actually has a stacked 2025 OL group so Cox does not have a path to a bunch of playing time this season. The CBA program up in Syracuse no doubt as a plan to develop Cox and get him to a more ideal playing weight so he can maximize his athletic ability.
