Gregg impresses with his ability to maneuver the pocket with ease as well as getting the ball out of his hands before the defense makes contact. Easily one of the most talented and prolific dual-threat quarterbacks in the state, Gregg turned in another impressive night both throwing and running the football in his Colonel’s recent 42-15 district win at Conner. Completing 12 of 22 pass attempts for 192 yards and 1 touchdown in the victory, he demonstrates the ability to target the ball accurately on the move and reposition his launch point without sacrificing throw mechanics. And of course, the speed and athleticism to produce with his legs is self-evident in all of his appearances–most recently rushing for 120 yards and 4 touchdowns on 12 carries. Currently averaging 251.6 yards of total offense per game, Gregg ranks 8th among all Class AAAAA passers (163.3 yards per game) and 15th among all Class AAAAA rushers (88.3 yards per game). With touchdown totals of 13 (passing) and 12 (rushing), he now averages 10.6 points per game (10th in Class AAAAA). A dynamic and multi-talented competitor with the ability to elevate the play of those around him, his development and recruitment will warrant our attentions going forward.

Armani Gregg Armani Gregg 6'0" | 190 lbs | ATH Dixie Heights | 2025 State KY is a player that has been on my radar for a while now but he truly stood out to me this past week. The junior quarterback led his team to a win over Conner, completing 12/22 passes for 192 yards, one touchdown, and an interception. He showed a strong arm which he used to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. While he was solid as a passer, he made an even bigger impact in the run game. Gregg displayed the ability to tuck the ball and use his speed to run away from the defense, finishing the game with 12 carries for 120 yards and four touchdowns. Armani doesn’t currently hold any offers but he will be a player to keep an eye on over the next two seasons.

After accounting for 1,500 total yards of offense and 12 touchdowns last season as a sophomore starter, Gregg’s steady progression has Colonel fans eagerly anticipating even bigger moments this season, and he certainly delivered those in Friday’s 53-0 win over Boone County. Completing all 9 of his pass attempts for 194 yards and 6 touchdowns, he also scored a two-point conversion in a contest with reduced offensive snaps as a result of the running-clock “mercy rule.” A durable and athletic dual-threat quarterback, in five games this season, he has completed 47 of 76 pass attempts for 764 yards and 10 touchdowns while also producing 431 yards rushing and 7 touchdowns on 74 carries. Averaging 239.0 yards of total offense per contest, he ranks 19th among all rushers in Class AAAAA, 11th in passing and 19th in scoring with an average of 8.8 points per game. With quick, efficient throwing mechanics and the ability to evade initial pressures with composure, his ability to extend and finish drives will only continue to improve.
