Continue ReadingHamlin can be used as a rangy run defender inside, instinctive when it comes to locating the ball with the quickness to get to it before blockers can react at the second level. He has the strong core and powerful hands to shed blockers, and Hamlin shows excellent instincts with the ability to quickly locate the ball. Hamlin has the change of direction skills and ability to quickly shift his momentum you look for. He alas impressive strength for his size – a real pile driver with an effective and disruptive bull rush.
The talent is there as a sideline-to-sideline playmaker. Alley is very good in coverage when looking into the backfield in zone coverage. He looks the part. Good height and a thick, muscular build. Long arms. Good overall athleticism and straight-line speed. He has the ability to makes the clean open-field tackle. Good effort in pursuit. He also handles misdirection well with quick change-of-direction ability. Comes downhill quickly against the run when Alley has an open lane.

Cupples flashes the ability to shoot gaps, he shows impressive speed and overall athleticism when moving laterally in pursuit as a run defender. Cupples flashes strength to punch or stiff-arm to get off blocks. Stays with plays downfield, often making tackles even after being hit by multiple linemen. Kid is a baller!
McCord closes quickly on relatively immobile quarterbacks. A consistently heavy hitter who flashes explosiveness and the ability to separate the ball. He also accelerates rapidly and has a great feel for angles. McCord isn’t huge, but McCord packs a pop.
Highlights
Treadway has good quickness and an excellent understanding of angles, often beating blockers to the spot. He’s a fluid mover in pursuit as well, capable of moving down the line and making plays in pursuit. He plays bigger than his listed size, with the functional strength and motor to take on and hold ground against much bigger blockers.
