Max George Max George 5'11" | RB Middlesex | 2021 State NJ , Middlesex: Middlesex came away with a 42-26 victory over Roselle in the Big Central Football Conference. Along with Stephen Young and Mekhi Parks, George performed at a high level this past Friday night. He totaled 116 yards on 17 carries, and he scored on a 58-yard run. The Middlesex senior fullback/linebacker was an effective blocker and was active on defense with seven tackles, a sack and an interception. George has scored in four straight games dating back to Oct. 10 against Pingry.
Kyle Degraw, Monroe: Degraw had a strong performance for Monroe in its 35-10 win over South Brunswick. The senior tight end/defensive end/linebacker had four receptions for 112 yards, ran for a score, totaled nine tackles and made a spectacular catch-and-score where he reached over an opponent’s helmet on a throw from Aidan McLaughlin and continued to the end zone on a 68-yard TD.
Rashawn Markman, Waldwick: Markman was effective for Waldwick in its 30-21 win over Pompton Lakes in the NJIC semifinal game. The Waldwick senior did it all, scoring on runs of 34 and 60 yards, finding the end zone on a 39-yard pass from Russell Pigg and also making one of the team’s three interceptions. Waldwick moved on to the NJIC championship game and will meet Becton Friday night.
Blake Rezk, Wall: Rezk and Wall stayed perfect on the year at 6-0 and recorded their fourth shutout in six games, cruising past Mater Dei 42-0. Rezk pounced on a fumble recovery in the end zone, and he also caught a 9-yard TD pass from Logan Peters Logan Peters 6'1" | QB Wall | 2021 State NJ . The Wall junior tight end/defensive end also had a sack. Wall meets Donovan Catholic in a battle of unbeaten Shore Conference squads this week.
Michael Gould, Jefferson: Gould was no stranger to the end zone in Jefferson’s 19-12 victory over Lakeland. He was in on all three Jefferson touchdowns, finishing with a career-high 200 points on 27 carries. Gould is a powerful runner and one that makes defenders miss often. He has good speed and he does a good job of running the edges and following his blockers. Gould also plays an aggressive style of defense and can lay on some hard hits.
