The offensive line position is key to any program and today we are going to look at five under the radar senior offensive lineman from the state of Indiana. These five offensive linemen display the ability to work well in space while being physically imposing in the run game and display quick feet and patience in pass protection.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="38972" first="Tucker" last="Keevers"] 6-4 260 Offensive Guard New Palestine High School</strong>
Keevers whose father is the head football coach at the University of Indianapolis is a physical offensive guard in the run game. He works well in a phone booth (tight spaces) and uses the correct hand placement to get movement on the defensive lineman. He displays good body control when blocking out in space, does not get overextended when reaching the second level on a linebacker. His pass protection is calm and direct with good short strikes and is direct with his steps when setting.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="39021" first="William" last="Rinker"] 6-7 310 Offensive Tackle Charleston High School </strong>
A tall imposing fixture at offensive tackle measuring in at 6-7 and weighing 310 pounds, Rinker displays the ability to short set in pass pro and use his long arms to create separation from the defensive lineman. He works efficiently to get to the second level in the run game to seal off linebackers, does not overrun but gathers him to set himself in a good position to block them, displaying good body control.
<strong>Jonah VanDer Kamp 6-7 305 Offensive Guard Fishers High School</strong>
A strong powerful offensive guard displays good hip flexibility and shows the ability to work well in space by not getting overextended and patient when landing a strike. He displays body control when pulling out in front in the run game and has the awareness to adjust his positioning of a block on the fly. In pass protection, he shows to have quick quiet feet when engaging in with a defender and lands a patient strike to create separation.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="38939" first="Ethan" last="Sturgeon"] 6-2 280 Offensive Guard New Palestine High School</strong>
Ethan who is committed to the Air Force Academy in July, is a tough physical offensive guard that comes off the line of scrimmage with a nasty demeanor. He displays the ability to land a strong strike and good hand placement while engaging in the run game. His pass protection is quick and concise to where he does not overstep himself, he has developed a quick short set and can mirror the defensive lineman in front of him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="38964" first="Loic" last="Amouzouvi"] 6-4 305 Offensive Guard/Tackle Pike High School</strong>
Loic who is committed to Indiana State University is a versatile offensive lineman that has experience at both offensive guard and tackle. He is physical at the point of attack in the run game, displaying the ability to unlock his hip and create separation from the defensive lineman. He shows good flexibility, this is put on display when he is transitioning his weight laterally in slide protections and is able to re adjust and anchor in pass protection.
