Many of the top prospects across the state of Missouri have already made college commitments. Here are six seniors to watch who have yet to announce a decision.
William Lee William Lee 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Kirkwood | 2021 State MO , ATH, 6-2, 185, Kirkwood
The No. 24 prospect in the Missouri Class of 2021 rankings, the versatile wide receiver-hybrid linebacker established himself as one of the top players in the area with a junior season that saw him rack up a team-high 880 total yards (760 receiving, 120 rushing) and 13 touchdowns to go along with 61 tackles, four sacks and one interception.
Kirkwood played just four games this season, going 2-2 with wins against Ladue and Eureka and losses against Marquette and St. Louis University High. Lee recorded 11 receptions for 260 yards and two touchdowns, added 30 yards on three rushing attempts and had 22 tackles and two interceptions. He was selected to the Suburban Gold All-Conference first team as a defensive back and second team as a wide receiver.
Lee has reported offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Iowa, Iowa State, Kent State, Missouri State, Northeastern State, Northern Iowa and South Dakota, according to 247Sports.
Myles Norwood Myles Norwood 6'2" | 175 lbs | DB Trinity | 2021 State MO , DB, 6-2, 175, Trinity Catholic
The No. 26 player in the Missouri Class of 2021 rankings, Norwood is a tall cornerback who can turn and run with any wide receiver he lines up against.
Norwood has offers from Air Force, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Army, Austin Peay, Brown, Bucknell, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Fordham, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Missouri State, Navy, Northeastern State, Northern Iowa, Southeast Missouri State, Tennessee-Martin and Youngstown State, according to 247Sports.
Carter Edwards Carter Edwards 6'0" | 225 lbs | LB De Smet | 2021 State MO , LB, 6-1, 220, De Smet
The No. 31 prospect in the Missouri Class of 2021 rankings, Edwards was a key cog in De Smet’s undefeated state championship season as a junior and picked up right where he left off as a senior after returning from a ruptured appendix.
Edwards racked up a team-leading 126 tackles to go along with four sacks, two interceptions and a fumble recovery during his junior season. In his first game back this season, a win against rival CBC, he was credited with 19 tackles and one sack.
Edwards has offers from Missouri State, South Alabama, Southeast Missouri State and Southern Miss, according to 247Sports.
Adel Mountassir Adel Mountassir 6'4" | 265 lbs | DL Francis Howell North | 2021 State MO , OL-DL, 6-4, 265, Francis Howell North
The No. 32 prospect in the Missouri Class of 2021 rankings, Mountassir is a mountain of a young man with the size that colleges covet.
Francis Howell North struggled this season, but Mountassir was a standout performer. He was selected first-team all-conference as an offensive lineman and second-team all-conference as a defensive lineman, where he was credited with 44 tackles, six sacks and one fumble recovery.
He has offers from Ball State, Brown, Eastern Illinois, Missouri State, Murray State, Navy, Princeton and Southern Illinois, according to 247Sports.
Sharrod Alexander Sharrod Alexander 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Living Word Christian | 2021 State MO , DB, 5-11, 175, Living Word Christian
Ranked No. 37 on the Missouri Class of 2021 list, Alexander was a two-way terror for the Eagles this season, racking up a team-best 781 total yards (394 yards rushing, 387 receiving) and 13 touchdowns as a running back and 34 tackles, three interceptions and one sack from his cornerback spot.
Kaden McMullen Kaden McMullen 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Living Word Christian | 2021 State MO , QB, 6-3, 200, Living Word Christian
The No. 38 prospect in the Missouri Class of 2021 rankings, McMullen piled up some big numbers in his three years as Christian’s starting quarterback.
As a senior this fall, he completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 1,592 yards, with 20 touchdowns against just six interceptions. He also ran for 351 yards and five touchdowns.
He finished his career with 6,423 passing yards and 63 touchdowns and added 839 rushing yards and 12 more scores.
