Cooper’s emergence as one of the top wide receiver prospects in Texas for the class of 2025 has been nothing short of impressive. His smooth route running and technical proficiency have made him a nightmare for opposing defenses to contain. With a diverse arsenal of moves at his disposal, Cooper consistently finds ways to create separation and make big plays down the field.
Physically, Jalen possesses an ideal combination of size and athleticism that sets him apart from his peers. His lean yet stout build, combined with his large wingspan, allows him to win battles against press coverage and come down with contested catches. Jalen’s explosive burst off the line of scrimmage and top-end speed make him a constant deep threat, capable of stretching the field and turning short receptions into long touchdowns.
What sets Jalen apart, is his mentality on the field. He thrives under pressure and relishes the opportunity to make game-changing plays when his team needs them most. Whether it’s making a spectacular grab in traffic or outrunning defenders for a score, Cooper’s confidence and swagger are evident in his playing style.
Cooper’s breakout performance this past season for Cibolo Steele only further solidified his status as a rising star on the Texas high school football scene. With eye-popping statistics like 68 receptions for 1,661 yards and 23 touchdowns, it’s clear that he has the talent and production to back up the hype.
As he continues to attract attention from college programs across the country, Cooper’s recent offers from Utah, Texas A&M, and UNLV serve as a testament to his growing reputation as a top-tier recruit. With his combination of skills, athleticism, and competitive fire, Cooper has all the makings of a future star at the collegiate level.

Cooper, known for his route-running skills and speed, has already caught ten touchdowns and is averaging 135 receiving yards per game. Jalen is jitterbug quick, he has excellent short area quickness that enables him to create space in tight coverage and he excels at yards after the catch. He and Chad Warner have teamed up to give defenses fits early this season and they are putting up major numbers. His recruiting stock is rising, and he has a visit planned to SMU this weekend.

He goes by RouteKingCoop and that’s exactly what he did in week 1 vs Brennan while finding the endzone on 3 different occasions. Running routes is his speciality but his for sure hands make him an even greater threat in that Steele offense. Steele offense is loaded with a ton of weapons but after a strong week 1 it looks like Cooper is making a claim to be WR1 and Mr Reliable for his QB Chad Warner. I caught up with Cooper after the game and he stated the point of emphasis this week was to play with intensity and effort the whole game knowing that Steele beat Brennan last season in a close game and they couldn’t let up.
