Kansas Underclassmen DBs to Watch this Spring

These Class of '25-'27 prospects are looking to solidify themselves as household names come the next season. Despite being one of the younger defenders competing in 15U, Zambo held his own often drawing the assignment of covering a RB out the backfield or a slot WR. The Class of '27 LB/SS has a long, sturdy frame and moves well in coverage. He plays physical on underneath routes and closes space on receivers. His patience and eye-discipline allowed him to make several plays on intermediate routes including an interception. The Class of '26 product takes good angles and breaks on the ball without many wasted steps. He's twitchy and has smooth hips in transitions. Tre showed his versatility lining up in press man, bail, and cover 2 and only was caught out of position a couple times all weekend. Like the other Team Kansas DBs, Kearn showed versatility playing multiple coverages throughout the course of the weekend.
