Top Returning QB’s for 4M District 15

He led the Explorers to a 14-1 record and a state championship in 2022! Last season Mendoza dominated throwing for 2,825 yards, 35 passing touchdowns and 3 rushing touchdowns while completing 73% of his passes with a QB rating of 130.5. He led the Firebirds to an 8-5 record and into the regional finals where they lost the eventual state champions Columbus High. Rodriguez wasn't asked to throw a lot, but when he did he was efficient and effective passing for 911 yards, completing 50% of his passes with 9 touchdowns. He was the third leading rusher on the team with 392 yards, averaging 4.5 yards per carry with 8 rushing touchdowns. He's a good athlete that shows nice acceleration (4.74 40) and burst to get to the edge, has good vision and cutback ability. He looks to head into the spring as the starter and to help get Miami High back to its winning ways. Last season in 9 games he passed for 753 yards, completing 52% of his passes with 4 touchdowns.
