An electric do-it-all athlete who can make plays all over the field, Murphy is an impressive quarterback with a live arm, but his potential at the next level could be as a running back or a defensive back. He’s one of the top athletes in the Atlanta area and one of the very best prospects across the state in the 2027 class. He already has an impressive offer list and he earned a new one this week from Penn State. During the regular season, Murphy threw for 1,532 yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for another 1,104 yards and 18 more scores. He’s terrific with the ball in his hands and could easily see more major offers come his way this winter.
Shorter, stout, explosive prospect with gifted traits. Standalone elite athlete outside of his QB skills. Would be considered an elite athlete at any position, and has even generated some buzz as a positionless player. PR’d in the 100M in 2025 at 10.52. He is equipped with both speed and quickness as a runner, pairing his breakaway speed with the explosive ability to cut, bob, and weave through and around traffic. As a passer, the ball looks to flutter at times, but he keeps everything compact around the ear and gets it out quickly. He has some horsepower on the ball, and it arrives loud. If he sticks at QB, Murphy has an argument for the most freaky QB prospect in the country from a pure traits perspective. He holds several P4 offers, and I expect his recruitment to take shape over the next 6 months or so. Will re-eval, hopefully in a full game setting, at a later date.
