Roberts does a great job taking on pulling offensive linemen. He quickly recognizes when he’s unblocked and gets low to take out pullers. He’s an impressive athlete whose quickness off the snap helps him make plays even when offenses run away from him. Roberts does a great job setting the edge and barely gives any ground when battling offensive linemen. He has a great motor and never quits on a play. Roberts doesn’t skip leg day in the offseason, and it clearly shows on tape with his ability to drive back whoever gets in his way.
[player_tooltip player_id=’532699′ first=’Alex’ last=’Tullis’] || DL || 6’5 || 220 || Corner Canyon High School || 2024
Tullis is an exceptional pass rusher. He displays excellent bend around the edge and uses his hands well. Tullis can stay patient in his rushers by containing quarterbacks or breaking into the backfield to create pressure. He can win inside or out when it’s time to pin his ears back and get after signal callers. Tullis has good arm length and uses it to bat down passes at the line of scrimmage. Against the run, he can hold his gap or shed offensive linemen to make tackles for loss. Tullis is a physical tackler and doesn’t let running backs slip his grasp.
Jordan Taula || DL || 6’2 || 237 || Davis High School || 2024
Taula has a motor that won’t stop before the whistle. He wreaked havoc in the backfield with eight sacks in 2022. Taula is an exceptional athlete who beats offensive linemen with great bend. His ability to turn upfield is elite, and he can get low and go under offensive tackles. Taula can push back double teams and beat them out of their stance with his quickness off the snap. He has an excellent feel for what offensive linemen are trying to do and can quickly react if a gap opens. Taula has an impressive spin move and could be a double-digit sack player in 2023.
Zeryan Talo || DL || 5’11 || 195 || Kearns High School || 2024
Talo can play anywhere along the front seven but is especially hard to stop on edge. He uses his hands and speed to beat offensive linemen for all 48 minutes. Talo does a good job trying to poke the ball out when closing in on quarterbacks. In addition, he’s a hard hitter who makes running backs and quarterbacks feel his presence on every hit. Talo can also drop into coverage and make tackles in space. He can win lining up over interior offensive linemen or around the edge. Talo shows great bend and doesn’t quit until he takes down quarterbacks.
