Former Aquinas (San Bernardino) athlete [player_tooltip player_id="25172" first="Francisco" last="Mauigoa"] announced his commitment to Washington State Friday.
Mauigoa will play his senior season at Tafuna High (Pago Pago) in American Samoa.
He was a two-way player at Aquinas last season, starting at quarterback and playing outside linebacker. Washington State recruited Mauigoa as a linebacker.
As a quarterback, he threw for 1,113 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing for another 475 yards and four touchdowns.
Defensively, Mauigoa had 46 tackles, 5 for a loss, and an interception.
His older brother Frederick started 39 games at center for Washington State before graduating last year. Washington State also offered his younger brother Francis, who is an elite prospect in the 2023 class.

<strong>Oaks Christian quarterback lands offer</strong>
Dual-threat class of 2022 quarterback Amari Powell of Oaks Christian (Westlake Village) received his first offer from Western Kentucky over the weekend.
Powell played his sophomore season at Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) where he appeared in three games and completed 8 of 13 passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.
He was named the quarterback MVP of the Fresno National Preps Showcase in September.

<strong>Trinity League sleeper commits to Division III school in Ohio</strong>
Orange Lutheran (Orange) defensive back Noah Chase announced his commitment to Kenyon College Saturday.
Chase had 49 tackles and four pass deflections for Orange Lutheran last season.
The 5-foot-8, 180-pound safety held numerous Division III offers before committing to Kenyon.
In a tweet, Chase thanked his past coaches, particularly Orange Lutheran defensive backs coach Daylon Cason.

<strong>Edison offensive lineman commits</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="25148" first="Jacob" last="Parsons"] of Edison (Huntington Beach) announced his commitment to UC Davis.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound interior offensive lineman is one of the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2020/07/top-offensive-linemen-in-southern-california-11-15/">top offensive lineman</a> in Southern California.
Parsons held offers from Utah State, San Jose State and Nevada among others prior to committing to UC Davis.
He is the first offensive lineman in UC Davis’ 2021 recruiting class and the third player from California, joining Christian Calhoun of Pacifica (Oxnard) and Matteo Perez of Marin Catholic (Kentfield).
<strong>Class of 2023 QB prospect adds Pac 12 offer</strong>
[player_tooltip player_id="25431" first="Jaden" last="Rashada"] (Pittsburg) was offered by Oregon State over the weekend.
He played his freshman season at Liberty High in Brentwood where he appeared in four games, completed 12 of 22 passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound quarterback holds seven offers: Arizona State, Auburn, California, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Utah.
