Highlights
Sean Burns Sean Burns 6'2" | 180 lbs | QB Holy Spirit | 2023 State NJ caught my attention first at Battle At The Beach. Not really familiar with his game, what grabbed my attention was his ability to drive the ball down the field. . Burns had solid performances in the playoffs until Holy Spirit ran into Red Bank Catholic. His performance in that game showed me his high-end play and the low-end of his play. One thing is for certain, he has high-end traits as a passer.
Saeed went off in the playoffs and put people on notice to his skillset. Saeed is a dual-threat running back who can make an impact as a runner and as a pass catcher. He’s a physical and thick back who has the perfect frame to be a solid pass protector. Making him a complete back, although he doesn’t have the elite traits, he’s one of the most complete backs in the state.
Jones, just as his West Orange teammate is a long lanky athlete who can make plays on both sides of the ball. Jones started the season by committing to the University of UConn and put his stamp on his senior year by showing out in the playoffs.
UCONN seems to be collecting project players who can make a difference on both sides of the ball. These players also have tremendous size and athleticism. As a result, Jones’ best football we be ahead of him.
Ives wasnt a highly sought-after prospect before the season started, however by the end of the season his name began to sizzle. He has the size, length, and frame Power 5 colleges covet. With the ability to play multiple positions on offense and defense.
Ives has one of the highest ceilings. As a result, new Nebraska runningback coach EJ Berthal invested in Ives’ upside.
Marlon Leslie Jr Marlon Leslie Jr 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Pleasantville | 2023 State NJ came into the season testing out as the most athletic quarterback in the state. In addition, showed this season that he is one of the most dynamic players with the ball in his hands. He did most of his damage while playing quarterback. Showing off his vision, speed, and explosivness as a runner and his elite ball skills as a defensive back. Leslie is welcomed to the rankings as they are not many athletes, with the ability to do what he can.
