Expert Analysis
Dom Skene | Prep Redzone Scout
Marsh took home the overall DB honors, standing out heavily among the rest of the camp. I haven’t seen him lose a rep all spring, as his fierce competition keeps him in reps as much as his athletic prowess. He had an awesome spring tackle performance with a few big hits, an interception, and a punt return for a touchdown. He may have been motivated by receiving a Utah Tech offer the day before the camp, or by his brother signing with NFL teams and going through training camp in the days and weeks prior. He showed out, receiving offers from Portland State, Idaho and Eastern Washington on the weekend, as his stock continues to rise through the summer camp season.

Marsh is among the most versatile DB’s in the state due to his instincts. He shows just how well he processes the game by reacting with lighting quickness to short routes, as he flew down from buzzing as a high safety to put himself in great position for his first potential pick-six of the day. He made a few textbook tackles on the day and wasn’t troubled in coverage, as it’s hard to find a weakness in his athletic or mental ability, and his play is fundamentally sound. Marsh’s name and toughness will remind many of his brother Armani who recently signed with the New York Jets after a memorable six-year college career as a Washington State Cougar. However, Ambrose deserves respect in his own right, and grows the Marsh style of DB play while standing alone as one of the top prospects in his class.

Ambrose is a ball-hawk. He is an aggressive corner who isn’t afraid to be physical. He reads quarterbacks very well and anticipates routes a lot better than other corners. His speed helps him keep up with opposing wide receivers. He is great at wrapping up ball carriers in the open field as well. He’s going to have a huge senior year.
