Saboor showed off the full spectrum of his skillset on both sides of the ball. Showing that he’s the most versatile player in the state. He amassed over 1000 receiving yards and recorded 2 INTs one going for a touchdown. He rose so high in the rankings due to his spectacular play in the playoffs. Although, they didn’t capture the state title in their group, Karriem came up huge for his team when they needed him most.
His outlook as a prospect maybe the highest of any player in this class. With his ability to play cornerback and safety, in addition to his height and frame. Karriem will be a do it all defensive back who can cover one on one and make plays on the back end. If he had the speed and tackling ability we could be looking at a player that has a similar trajectory as a player like Jalen Ramsey or Derwin James.
Karriem committed to the University of Illinois who has a recent track record of putting quality defensive backs in the NFL. With current Detriot Lions saftey Kerby Joesph, Las Vegas Raiders slot cornerback Nate Hobbs, and projected first round cornerback Devon Witherspoon. Karriem seems to be on that same track, with his situation at Illnois and physical traits. He has a realistic shot at being an NFL caliber defensive back.

One maybe asking how a player who took a walk on offer be a top ten player in the state? Simply put, he has traits you can’t teach. Joey plays both sides of the ball and is smooth mover on offense and at cornerback. For the last two years, Joey has shown consistent improvement to where he was getting serious Division One looks from schools like LSU.
With his tall long frame and his recovery speed, Joey has the potential to be a high end cornerback at the next level. In addition, Joey still needs a lot of work on his technique and his play in press , using his stabs effectively. Joey is going to be a player who, for the most part, was overlooked in his recruiting process. However, with his best football still ahead of him, he will blossom into a borderline NFL prospect.
Hawk maybe the most overlooked player in the state, but has the play and stats that would suggest that he’s the top interior defensive lineman in the state. He finished the season with a ridiculous 102 tackles with 39 of them coming for loss with 4 sacks.
He’s a complete defensive lineman that can do anything that you ask of him. Who has explosion and quickness off the ball and knows how to use hands to gain extension and leverage in run defense and a nice array of pass rush moves.
Hawk will most certainly have to beef up even to play on the interior in the Big 12. However, when that happens he has the attitude, work ethic, and skillset to be high end three tech at the college level.
For the better part of two years Derron Moore Derron Moore 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Woodbury | 2023 State NJ has been the best off ball linebacker in the state. With his ability, to do anything you ask from making plays around the line of scrimmage, making plays in space , and being a menace in coverage. There’s no linebacker in Jersey who has this well rounded of a skillset at the linebacker position.
Moore put the ultimate stamp on his high school career by changing the momentum of the Group 3 championship singlehandley, with punishing hit after punishing hit. Moore’s rise in the rankings comes from his consistency and his play in the biggest moments of the season.

To be frank, most of the conversation from scouts, media, and even parents was that Nicholas Minicucci wasn’t worth the hype he receive. However, this is why a fundamental truth about scouting is to trust your own analysis.
When I had the opportunity to watch this young man play live I saw a quarterback who consistently made plays under pressure. In addition, made plays out of structure with accuracy and never seemed rattled by the moment. Now, I know that his performance in the championship game many people will point as exhibit A. However, there are more performances where he’s shown up and played solid then there are like his championship game. Minicucci may not have the high end physical traits , however he has the mental makeup be a good college quarterback.
