It's offer season across the country, especially in the state of Georgia. Over the last few weeks, several 2024 prospects in Georgia have gone from under the radar to being right in the recruiting spotlight. Here are a few of many 2024s in Georgia making some noise on the recruiting trail.

[player_tooltip player_id='165716' first='Jake' last='Merklinger'] - QB - Calvary Day

Merklinger has been one of the most highly-touted QB prospects in Georgia for a few years now. After receiving an offer from UGA, Merklinger is starting to make some noise as one of the most elite QB prospects in the entire country. It all starts with his arm strength. Merklinger is incredibly gifted when it comes to arm talent, showing the ability to make all throws on the field and layer the ball over the top of the defense. He has a smooth and quick release, the ball flies out naturally and pierces through the air. Merklinger has good pocket mechanics, but excels on the move and when throwing off platform. Merklinger is a passer first, but he has more than enough speed and athleticism to tuck the ball and pose a run threat to the defense. He has an incredibly high ceiling due to his arm talent alone. He has improved each season he has started and is setting himself up for a massive senior season.

https://twitter.com/JakeMerklinger/status/1622769014710710275?s=20&t=4ED0Jk_bMAd_X7pXpEfFEg

Jaiden Patterson - DB - Mill Creek

Patterson played a critical role on the Mill Creek state championship team and is finally starting to pick up some steam on the recruiting trail as a result. At 6'2 173, Patterson is a long and tall DB prospect with plenty of room to add weight. For a guy that is still developing physically, Patterson shows effortless running ability and change of direction. His long strides eat up grass and make it look like he is gliding across the field. He also has effortless acceleration, transitioning into another gear seamlessly. Patterson has the versatility and skillset to play anywhere in the secondary. His ability to dissect plays and shift his momentum downfield projects well at safety, while his length and ability to flip his hips and run projects well at CB. Either way, Patterson is a gifted athlete that is generating some major P5 buzz.

https://twitter.com/JaidenPatters15/status/1623157582314479617?s=20&t=4ED0Jk_bMAd_X7pXpEfFEg

[player_tooltip player_id='407056' first='Maurice' last='Davis'] - EDGE - Doughtery

South Georgia product that is steadily creeping onto the radar as one of the best pure EDGE defenders in the state. In the last few weeks alone, Davis has picked up offers from Ole Miss, Liberty, and Colorado. More offers are certainly on the horizon. Davis has an unfinished 6'4 215 pound frame. He has some noticeably long arms and has plenty of room to add more weight. Davis is very fundamentally sound and smart coming off the edge, he does a great job of sizing up faster players and keeping them in front of him instead of overpursuing. He plays with controlled aggression, a methodical player that has a noticeable mean streak and a high motor. Make great use of his arms off the edge, frequently showing a nice arm-over move and active hands to free himself of blockers. He also baits the tackles to the outside then works inside, keeping them off-balance. Davis has some notable physical traits, but he is also a very fundamentally sound player with excellent technique.

https://twitter.com/mauricedavis48/status/1617975430291783680?s=20&t=4ED0Jk_bMAd_X7pXpEfFEg

Tyshon Reed Jr - DE - Colquitt County

Skinny DE prospect with a high ceiling that is starting to generate some buzz out of South Georgia. Even with a very skinny frame, Reed shows enough promise and upside as an athlete to generate some SEC-caliber buzz. Reed is super explosive off the snap and has great bend around the edge, making him hard to contain for even the most physical tackles. He also has smooth horizontal movement, showing the ability to collapse running lanes and play contain well. Reed has excellent body control, maintaining balance while battling with heavier and more physical linemen. He is a good tackler as well, using his long arms to wrap up defenders and put them on the turf. Reed is already a very good prospect athletically and should only continue to get better as he adds to his frame.

https://twitter.com/Tyshonreedjr/status/1621224137921372160?s=20&t=4ED0Jk_bMAd_X7pXpEfFEg
