2023 6'5 270 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='260216' first='Devan' last='Houstan'] - St. James - Notre Dame

The 4 star recruit and captain of the St. James football team, [player_tooltip player_id='260216' first='Devan' last='Houstan'], recently committed to Notre Dame, and all of South Bend should be very excited about his commitment. Houstan led the STJ Saints with more than five tackles per game, and he also average about a half a sack per game which brought him to nearly five on the season. At 6'5 270 with elite quickness, [player_tooltip player_id='260216' first='Devan' last='Houstan'] possesses a ton of next level potential, and there's zero doubt in my mind that he will thrive at Notre Dame. Houstan is a leader on and off the football field, and he is going to fight hard for the Irish every single week in South Bend.

2023 6'0 190 ATH - [player_tooltip player_id='200626' first='Joshua' last='Farquharson'] - St. James - University of New Hampshire

[player_tooltip player_id='200626' first='Joshua' last='Farquharson'] delivered a breakout season in the Fall, and he proved that he's an all-around elite playmaker who's ready for the college game. Farquharson played on both sides of the ball in high school, and in 2022 he accumulated more than 1300 total yards, 16 touchdowns, 32 tackles, and 1 interception. It's safe to say that [player_tooltip player_id='200626' first='Joshua' last='Farquharson'] does it all, and UNH nation should be absolutely ecstatic with his commitment. He will continue to be an elite utility player for the Wildcats, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he makes a huge impact there immediately.

2023 6'1 190 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='209693' first='Rhys' last='Staley'] - St. James

[player_tooltip player_id='209693' first='Rhys' last='Staley'] was very solid for the St. James Saints at quarterback in 2022 and his numbers really speak for themselves. Staley threw for 1,155 passing yards and 15 touchdowns, with only 5 ints, and he also added 5 touchdowns and nearly 250 yards rushing as well. [player_tooltip player_id='209693' first='Rhys' last='Staley'] has elite arm talent, and, with the right development, he could absolutely make an impact as a quarterback at the next level down the line. Scouts everywhere must continue to look at [player_tooltip player_id='209693' first='Rhys' last='Staley'] as he attends workouts and combines in the near future.

2023 6'2 205 LB - [player_tooltip player_id='249074' first='Chali' last='Taylor'] - Sidwell

[player_tooltip player_id='249074' first='Chali' last='Taylor'] earned 1st Team All-MAC linebacker honors this past season, and he also received DCSAA Class A All-State 1st Team Defense honors as well, making him one of the most decorated linebackers in the entire DMV. Taylor's decision making and awareness are both off the charts fantastic, and it's most certainly his elite anticipation that sets him up so easily for tackles. [player_tooltip player_id='249074' first='Chali' last='Taylor'] has interest from D1 programs such as Columbia, Navy, and others, but, after such a stellar year, I'd be very surprised if more offers aren't sent his way. [player_tooltip player_id='249074' first='Chali' last='Taylor'] dominated at the high school level, and he will certainly make a big impact on whichever program he chooses to attend next Fall.

2023 6'2 180 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='321343' first='Brice' last='June'] - Maret - Yale

The All-MAC receiver and Yale commit, [player_tooltip player_id='321343' first='Brice' last='June'], was far and away the most consistent pass catcher for Maret in 2022. June dominated all of his one on one matchups, especially to start the season, and he never allowed himself to be drawn out of the offensive attack. He clearly has a strong understanding of defensive schemes and how to block in the running game. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see [player_tooltip player_id='321343' first='Brice' last='June'] play a key role at Yale right away, and he absolutely has the potential to be one of the top wide receivers in the Ivey League during his career.
