As I was making my way through the state of Illinois' 2024 class, I couldn't help but notice the depth of pass rushers. There were a ton of guys that hadn't even sniffed an offer yet. To me, each young man featured in this article could be debated as Illinois' most underrated 2024 pass rusher. Each prospect has a deep skill set that can't be denied on film. You be the judge.

Bryan Wilson, 6'3" 215, Eisenhower

Played mostly as a head-up four technique, but projects as a 3-4 stand-up OLB at the next level. He's strong at the point of attack, has a relentless motor, and an active bull rush ready when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='354227' first='Caiden' last='O'Neil'], 6'5" 225, Marian Catholic

Has good size to go with a charged-up get-off. O'Neil can dip and rip around the edge & at times will put opposing offensive linemen on skates using sheer strength.

Ben Fiegel, 6'3" 215, Batavia

Times up blitzes extremely well and has dynamite closing speed when he gets a quarterback in his sights. Fiegel shows great balance/body control and the ability to use a gator roll tackle when he's out-leveraged by a ball carrier.

J'Vonta Mosby, 6'1" 245, Althoff Catholic

Quite slippery on contact and can get skinny through slide protections on twists & stunts. Mosby has quality twitch and will use a forceful club when linemen start to lunge in pass pro.

KJ Hayes, 6'3" 185, Morgan Park

Hayes has a great first step and shows instant acceleration. He does a good job putting speed to power and is a nasty finisher once he gets to the quarterback.

[player_tooltip player_id='271277' first='Ethan' last='Aghakhan'], 6'2" 240, Stevenson

A sudden defensive end prospect with proven production, accounting for twelve sacks last fall. Ethan plays with violent hands, has a strong punch, and will get his hands up if he can't get to the quarterback.

Dominic Dixon, 6' 185, East St. Louis

This young man can cover ground in a hurry and will be a disruptive force against the pass. What he may lack in pure size, he more than makes up for in instincts, burst, and playmaking ability.

Dalton Timmermann, 6'2" 250, Mater Dei Catholic

Timmermann explodes out of his stance with a low pad level and nasty intentions. He played on the outside as a five-technique but based on his size, anchor, and strength he'd kick down inside as a three-tech at the next level. Also, a very talented guard prospect on the offensive side.

[player_tooltip player_id='267512' first='Maverick' last='Ohle'], 6'2" 220, Naperville Central

Ohle has loose hips and can run the hoop around the edge. He's tough, has a strong lower half to mix in a bull rush on stunts, and can literally move offensive linemen against their will.

Lance Ingold, 6'6" 225, Rochester

Ingold's got a massive frame that he can easily add another thirty pounds to. He's got long arms, fluid change of direction, and a motor that is always fueled.
