Lawrence is one of the more intriguing defensive talents we have from the #TN2024 class as someone that could develop and excel at either linebacker or safety. Many college coaches throughout this process have looked in on Lawrence to see if his speed translates to either one of those positions and I believe it does, simply as a defensive athlete. Several offers came through for this Nashville area prospect but he has yet to make a decision. It’s a little unclear as to who is currently on the radar for Lawrence but I know this guy is talented with tons of upside for the college game that will be a great add for whoever signs this Mid TN product.

Tall and long with fluid body movements and the athleticism to play multiple positions on the defensive side of the ball, Lawrence is one of the more intriguing prospects we have in the #TN2024 class. The Cougars senior defender has a lot of physical traits that appeal to me and I’m sure collegiate coaches as well that screams potential! Lawrence has tremendous range, showing the closing speed on film to chase down the ball from anywhere while also sporting the instincts to be a ball hawk within the secondary. What will be interesting about this Mid-TN talent is his ability to pack on more weight so we can see if Lawrence will be a linebacker or a safety in college. He fits the star position many defenses are running these days. No matter what he develops into, Lawrence is an “athlete” that has playmaking abilities that can definitely be utilized on the defensive side of the ball in college.

A versatile defensive prospect with size and range, Lawrence is a hybrid linebacker/safety prospect that brings a multi tooled skillset to the field that can be utilized in several ways on the collegiate gridiron. This Fall football season was his best yet as Lawrence was a ball hawk that increased his overall speed and range along with adding more football knowledge. The Cougars senior defender tracks the ball very well then uses his speed to pursue the ball and finish with controlled violence. What I like the most about Lawrence is his athleticism and defensive versatility. You can rush him into the backfield, play him at backer against the run or drop back into the “Star” position and play in coverage. There is also tons of growth Lawrence that leads me to think that his best football is ahead of him and college coaches have noticed this as well. Senior Film
