That would be massive offensive tackle, Amarius Mims Amarius Mims 6'7" | 310 lbs | OL Bleckley County | 2021 State GA . He’s a mountain of a man at 6-foot-8 320-pounds and looks like your ideal left tackle prospect. He’s a “first guy off the bus” type who can intimidate his opponent not only by his size, but by his play on the field.
He checks all the boxes and more from a physical standpoint, but his play on the field is fun to watch. He’s an ideal pass protector due to his incredible length and footwork. He’ll get his hands on any high school defensive end before they’ll be able to touch him. He’s got great upper-body strength and has the ability to dominate on every snap. He moves incredibly well for someone his size, and his best football is still ahead of him. All the tools are there for him to play on Sunday’s one day, but the tools still need to be develop, just like every other player coming out of high school.
Mims holds offers from some of the nation’s top programs and is one week away from making his decision. Ranked as the nation’s No.2 offensive line prospect, Mims will be deciding between Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida State. He’s taken 6-7 visits to Knoxville over the past three months and has taken even more visits to Athens. He’ll be taking one more unofficial visit to UGA this weekend before making his announcement on October 14th.
Another Bleckley County player to know is cornerback, Shon Jenkins. The former safety is a multi year starter for the Royals and one of their leaders on the team. The 5-foot-11 180-pounder has good size for a defensive back and the speed to back it up. Jenkins runs around a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash with great hips and ball skills. He also leads the team in INTS. If he lived in the metro-Atlanta area or at another high-level program, there would be plenty of interest from college programs. He’s a true senior playmaker in the secondary and player to keep an eye on for the Royals the rest of the fall.
Another Royal defender to know is defensive lineman, Willie Harris. The 6-foot-2 270-pound lineman plays all over the defensive line, showing versatility, quickness, and explosion. Like Mims, Harris is another big man who runs really well for his size. Harris holds multiple offers from Akron, Coastal Carolina, and Georgia State.
