However, Coach Brent Key and the Yellow Jacket staff have done an excellent job of getting involved with several highly touted in-state prospects. Here, we break down some of the recent offensive linemen the GT coaching staff has sent out.
Devin Forrester – 2024 – Buford
Along with schools like Michigan and Mississippi State, Georgia Tech is one of the most recent schools to offer Devin Forrester. Before we get into his physical traits, it’s important to note that Forrester is a winner. Not only is he a 2-time football state champion, but he also has a state championship win in wrestling. From his hand placement to his pad level, it is clear that wrestling has certainly allowed Forrester to perfect his craft on the football field. Forrester is as consistent of a player as you will find in the state. Expect his stock to continue to rise.
Web Davidson Web Davidson 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Tattnal Square | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Tatnall Square Academy
There is nothing small about this small school prospect. Davidson comes in at 6’7 and around 300 pounds. He plays a violent brand of football, showing the tendency to drive defenders until they are on the ground or until the whistle blows. Plays in a run heavy offense and showcases good pad level and the ability to get to the second level. Davidson is going to continue to hone in on his technique, but he has the physical upside to be a legitimate difference maker at the next level. Keep a close eye on Davidson as this offseason progresses.
Clinton Richard – 2024 – Hiram
Richard is one of several P5 prospects anchoring a stout offensive front for Hiram. Has a stout 6’4 285 frame and possesses some rare athleticism for a big man. Plays on both the OL and DL, could probably play both at the next level. Richard is a true impact style blocker, showcasing the ability to run all over the field and lay devastating blows on defenders. He is more than capable of being a lead blocker with his ability to lumber downfield and move defenders out of the path of the ball carrier. Richard is one of the best 2024 linemen in the state, and is starting to creep onto the radar.
Andrew Rosinski Andrew Rosinski 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Creekview | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Creekview
Of all these offers, Rosinski might be the one for GT fans to watch closely. Rosinski is a GT legacy, and the recent offer from Georgia Tech has generated quite some buzz. However, I would expect several other major P5 programs to enter the picture soon. I have been ringing the bell for Rosinski for over a year now, and he is finally starting to get much deserved attention on the trail. Has the frame and tools to be a big-time LT prospect. Sits at around 6’6 280, carrying his weight extremely well. Very gifted and twitchy athlete that is extremely difficult to get the edge on. Creekview has a history of producting P5 offensive linemen, and Rosinski is next.
Waltclaire Flynn Jr – 2024 – Grayson
Flynn, one of the best offensive line prospects in the country, has added Georgia Tech to his list of over a dozen offers. Flynn has a very powerful 6’1 300+ pound frame and gains leverage on defenders with his low center of gravity. Once he gains leverage, he uses his strong lower body to drive defenders out of the picture. Flynn could end up playing C at the next level. Simply put, Flynn is an incredibly strong prospect that can create gaping holes upfront. Nationally, this is a prospect worthy of your attention.
Jacobi Murray Jacobi Murray 6'2" | 275 lbs | DL Holy Innocents | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Mill Creek
Banfield is yet another state champion that has picked up a Georgia Tech offer. By the looks of it, it appears that Banfield is another mauler upfront with a very high ceiling. He is incredibly fast and twitchy, showing both the ability and willingness to climb to the second level and take on faster defenders. He plays with good pad level and drive, carving gaps in the running game. With his ability to put his feet in the ground and move bigger defenders out of the picture, Banfield is another IOL prospect worth a look.
