Stats: 141 total tackles, 64 solo, 77 assisted, seven tackles for loss, and three sacks.
– Leading tackler on one of the stingiest defenses in Class C1.
– Intense motor with nonstop pursuit on every play.
– He has the ability to sneak through small creases and penetrate the edge to make a stop and prevent long runs.
2. Kevon Newsome Kevon Newsome 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Omaha Central | 2024 State NE | 2024 | LB | Omaha Benson | 6’1″ 215 lbs
Stats: 130 total tackles, 58 solo, 72 assisted, ten tackles for loss, three sacks, and three interceptions.
– Exploded onto the scene for Benson. One of two juniors on the list.
– Downhill linebacker with a solid build and big hit ability.
– Also very lengthy, which helps him when he drops into coverage.
– I feel like we are just starting to see Kevon scratch the surface. Special talent!
3. Josiah Mobley Josiah Mobley 6'0" | 175 lbs | LB Scottsbluff | 2023 State NE | 2023 | LB | Scottsbluff | 6’0″ 175 lbs
Stats: 127 total tackles, 56 solo, 71 assisted, ten tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two passes defended, two forced fumbles, and an interception.
– The Bearcats featured one of the deepest front seven rotations in class B with several standout players. Josiah was one of the more impressive members of this group.
– Very underrated player and athlete with lots of experience and production under his belt. I think he could even do well as a safety at the next level.
– Uncommitted senior.

– Throwback ‘backer that plays hard and fast!
– He’s a very smart and reactive player that doesn’t just excel at playing the run but can also be effective in coverage.
– He’s a handful at 6’2″ and 230 lbs and uses his size and strength very well, able to overpower linemen in his way.
– Uncommitted senior.
5. Eli Boryca Eli Boryca 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB Cozad | 2023 State NE | 2023 | LB | Cozad | 5’11” 200 lbs
Stats: 122 total tackles, 55 solo, 67 assisted, 6 tackles for loss, two sacks, two passes defended, and two forced fumbles.
– Another typical hardnosed, rugged, downhill inside linebacker that can get a hat in the hole and stop the run.
– Works his way through blocks and can disrupt the flow of running schemes.
– He’s starting to see his name heat up on recruiting boards but is still very under the radar. You won’t be disappointed with his motor!

– Long-time two-way producer for the Discoverers. 461 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns on offense.
– Blaser is as tough as they come and plays both LB & RB with the same physical edge.
– Thumper in the middle of the field that hits like a ton of bricks.
– Chadron State is getting a great player!
7. Kolten Tilford Kolten Tilford 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH North Platte | 2023 State NE | 2023 | DB/ATH | North Platte | South Dakota State Commit
Stats: 116 total tackles, 45 solo, 71 assisted, 2.5 tackles for loss, eight passes defended, and an interception.
– Kolten is a non-stop machine on defense.
– Playing primarily from the safety position, Tilford can make plays anywhere on the field. He’s the only non-linebacker in the top 10.
– He was also a big producer on the Bulldog offense with 1,026 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, 173 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdown.
– Extremely exciting to watch on the field, whether on offense or defense. SDSU gets a STEAL!!
8. Logan Burt | 2023 | Tekamah-Herman
Stats: 111 total tackles, 26 solo, 85 assisted, and a tackle for loss.
– Couldn’t really find any tape on Logan, but it looks like he had a tremendous year for Tekamah-Herman.

– The Warriors are the only team with two players in the top 10 of tackles and one of three teams with two players reaching 100 tackles.
– Reilly is another great athlete on the LL squad who handled inside linebacker duties on defense and was a threat as a runner and pass catcher on offense.
– His big, sturdy frame stops ball carriers right in their tracks. Also, displaying great tackling fundamentals to go with his bone-jarring power.
– Great burst through his gaps and strength to fight through blocks.
– Uncommitted senior.
