Yes, his build might not suggest D1 Quarterback, and that’s okay. Cole Spears Cole Spears QB Mt. Carmel | 2024 State PA comes out, stands in the pocket, makes the right read, and delivers catchable balls at all three levels of the field. Mount Carmel coaches can’t ask for more. 260+ yards, four scores, two of which came after great YAC plays on screens thrown by Spears. The other two came after a deep hitch and chuck downfield, hitting his guys downfield in stride. I wouldn’t underestimate the senior’s ability to attack a secondary downfield, he’s small but has the hip torque to keep a defense honest. His stock is rising.
