West Ranch (Valencia) quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25215" first="Walker" last="Eget"] announced his commitment to San Jose State Wednesday. Eget was the No. 19 ranked class of 2021 quarterback in the state <a href="https://prepredzone.com/california/rankings/2021-rankings/">according to Prep Redzone. </a> He had a breakout season last year and was one of the top quarterbacks in the Foothill League when he threw for 3,250 yards and 40 touchdowns while leading the Wildcats to a 10-win season. Chalk rushed for nearly 700 yards as a freshman in 2018 and had 1430 yards and 20 touchdowns for the Warriors as a sophomore last season. He ran for 207 yards and three touchdowns in a second round playoff win against Tesoro. Boston College has two running backs in its 2021 recruiting class. He had three interceptions for the Sea Kings last season, two against Los Alamitos and one that clinched the game against San Mateo Serra in the CIF State Division 1A championship game. Griffin is the fourth Corona del Mar player to commit this offseason, joining Trachtman, [player_tooltip player_id="25152" first="Scott" last="Giuliano"] (Harvard), and Thomas Bouda (Army). He played receiver and safety at Corona del Mar last season and will get more time at receiver this season due to the graduation of Mark Redman and John Humphreys. Foreman spoke to Greg Biggins of 247Sports Wednesday after receiving his All-American Bowl jersey. “I just think this is a better move for me,” Foreman said. “I have a lot on my plate right now and I don’t know if I’ll be ready to make my decision in time to early-grad. I still want to take all my official visits and with the dead period moving back to January, I won’t be able to take them in time to make an early decision." Foreman said he may still commit early, but will play at Centennial no matter what. “There’s still a chance I could commit early and if I do, I’ll be committing at the All-American Bowl," Foreman told Biggins. "Even if I do though, I’m still going to play out my senior year and I’m excited about that.
