Three D2 RBs I’m looking forward to Re-Evaluating

<p>The 2022 season has just concluded, and now it's time for me to catch up on a ton of film. While considering All-State and All-Region lists, some names have entered my radar that genuinely intrigues me. Out of these three players, I know one of them quite well, one of them I've seen here and there, while one I have seen very little of.</p>

<p><strong>RB | [player_tooltip player_id='30343' first='Xavior' last='Tyus'] | Portage Northern </strong></p>

<p>I watched The X Man once this season, and it was his best performance when he ran for 300 yards against Byron Center. I've always evaluated Tyus a bit more favorably than most others, and I wonder if I'll continue to rank him higher. He earned an all-region nod this season, but I'd argue he deserves all-state, but we'll see once I watch some more film. </p>

<p><strong>RB | [player_tooltip player_id='241274' first='Tommy' last='Donovan'] | South Lyon</strong></p>

<p>Honestly, I was a tad surprised when I saw Tommy on the All-State lists. Though, just over 1,100 yards rushing plus a PWO from Michigan State has Tommy high on my WATCH MORE FILM list. I know he was a beast last year with South Lyon's big playoff run, but I feel I've seen less of him this season, though he has more honors to show. Watching his highlights, I love his burst. His game reminds me of [player_tooltip player_id='243468' first='Ethan' last='Clark']. Of course, highlights don't tell the whole story, and I'll watch some games soon. </p>

<p><strong>RB | Cordel Mabins | Livonia Franklin</strong></p>

<p>Oh man, I'm excited to watch more film of Mabins. His highlights have me excited, as he produced over 1800 rushing yards on the season while scoring 29 touchdowns. Upon first impressions, vision and general IQ seem to be strengths of his, while balance and fighting through contact is great, speed is good. Considering how highly regarded Livonia Franklin was all season, diving deeper into Mabins is something I'll do very soon. </p>
