Isaac Smith Isaac Smith 6’2″ | 180 lbs | ATH Itawamba Agricultural | 2023 State MS is one of Prep Redzone’s Top Rated Athletes, a true competitor and a take away machine. He is a 4 star prospect who has received offers from big time names such as FSU, LSU, MS Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. This season Smith made a name for himself on the defensive side of the ball by intercepting 10 passes. His ability to cover distances in short periods of time is exceptional. For this reason Smith is considered to be one of 4A’s Top 5 Ball Hawks.
Laterrious Haynes
Laterrious Haynes
Haynes did an incredible job of shutting down opposing teams. His performances this year crowned his team 2022 4A State Champions and gave him an opportunity to show what he can do. Laterrious is an extremely talented individual who hauled in 7 interceptions for the season. Furthermore, Haynes has the ability to be a versatile athlete who can fit within many systems. He certainly has the skill and potential to play ball and compete at the next level.
Cooper Waddle
Cooper Waddle
Cooper is often overlooked due to being on the same team as one of the State’s top Recruits. This is similar to the Ahmad Gardner and Coby Bryant situation in the draft. Both were excellent corners however Bryant was somewhat underrated due to Sauce’s ability. Cooper is a young talented athlete with immense potential. One may even be daring enough to say that he will surpass Smith in regards to his ability. Waddle has pulled in 6 interceptions for the year as a sophomore. He has great potential and will continue to grow over the next few seasons. Because of his play this year Cooper is considered one of 4A’s top 5 Bal Hawks.
Victor Davis
Victor Davis
Victor is an incredible competitor with great ball instincts. He doesn’t let his size deter him from being an impact on the field. Davis consistently shuts down receivers, makes big time hits and intercepts the pass. This season Victor was able to cover some elite receivers with success and come up with 6 interceptions. His team made it all the way to the State Championship game where they unfortunately lost by a field goal. He will continue to play at a high level and prove that he is one of 4A’s top 5 Ball Hawks.
Jarvis Smith
Jarvis Smith
Jarvis Smith was limited to 8 games this season however he still performed exceptionally well. He hauled in 6 Interceptions for an average of 0.6 interceptions per game. Smith has shown that he has what it takes to be a top tier ball hawk. He has the instinct and speed to cover the entire field, cover receivers and make big time plays. The tenacity that he plays with is very contagios as he leads his teammates to perform better. It will be interesting to see what he can do with a full season next year.Because of what he has done thus far Jarvis is considered to be one of 4A’s top 5 Ball Hawks.
