Does a good job engaging and then shedding blocks but also shows he can make plays while still engaged. Has bounced around different programs early on in his HS career including stints at Bishop Alemany, Chaminade, Inglewood, and now Calabasas. Uses his hands well to maintain separation from blockers and then disengage to free himself up to make a tackle. Flashes good ability to play in space while also being a strong one on one open field tackler that can wrap up and finish. Finished the season as a 1u003csupu003estu003c/supu003e Team All-League selection with 85 tackles, three sacks, and 15 TFLs. Great nose for the football, he can fight through contact or weave his way through blockers to get to the ball carrier and make a tackle. Flies up to attack the ball and is a heavy striker that explodes through contact with leverage and contact balance. Finished the season with 120 total tackles including 81 solo and four interceptions. Also shows good versatility playing TE.
