Each Gunslinger has the skill set to play at the next level and were major factors in their teams success throughout their high school careers and had fabulous seasons in 2022.

Guerra has guided the Indians to a 10-3 record and even though they came up short in a third round matchup with Lewisville, the Indians were able to capture a Bi-District Title, as well as an Area Title. Guerra is a three year starter, who had total command of the Keller offense, Tre is a gunslinger, he plays under control, he possesses the arm strength to make throws from all platforms and he has the athleticism when the pocket collapses to escape pressure to deliver accurate passes. When the pocket gets muddy is when Guerra is lethal. Not only does he has the elusiveness to avoid the rush, Guerra has the awareness to keep his eyes downfield and find open targets. Tre is a dangerous runner in the open field, his quickness in space allows him to keep the sticks moving. Guerra’s special arm talent enables him to drive the football downfield routinely, with lethal accuracy. Throwing on the move and his ability to elude defenders when the pocket collapses, are traits that make Guerra special. The Central Arkansas commit passed for 2,572 yards and had 24 total touchdowns in the 2022 season.

Wilson plays with a no fear mentality. He possesses the arm talent and strength to make every throw on the route tree. Jake stands tall in the pocket, he uses a strong base to set his feet and his powerful hip torque when he drives the football to his targets allows him to thread the needle in tight windows. Wilson has great touch on his deep ball, he has pinpoint accuracy on the intermediate routes and he has a quick release. Jake has a high football IQ and understands how to throw his receivers open. Wilson navigates the pocket with quiet feet and he has the athletic ability to escape pressure and use his legs in the running game. In the first round of the playoffs against Boswell, Wilson lit up the Pioneers defense for 500 yards and 6 touchdowns. Wilson numbers for the 2022 season were spectacular. With over 4,500 yards of total offense, 53 touchdowns to go along with a 71% completion rate, Wilson’s Gunslinger mentality was on full display. Wilson’s 8,000 yards and 87 touchdowns in two seasons helped lead Byron Nelson to back to back third round appearance in the playoffs.

Luster plays the game with a win at all cost mentality, which lead McKinney to it’s first third round playoff appearance since 1993. Keldric has a superb deep ball, he has the arm strength to drop the football in to his target from any area of the football field and his big play ability was on full display during the McKinney playoff run. He throws accurately on the run and understands how to throw his targets open to avoid the defensive coverage. Luster has the Gunslinger mentality but at all times plays with a calm demeanor and plays under control. Keldric is a dangerous weapon when he runs the football. He has flexible hips, great feet that he uses to make defenders miss routinely in the open field and his strong, compact frame enables him to run with power and break tackles. The SMU commit is the total package, a gifted runner who has the big league arm to beat defenses consistently. Luster was efficient in the Lions second round matchup vs Jesuit, completing 11/13 passes for 213 yards, while accounting for 5 total touchdowns that included one rushing touchdown. Even though the Lions came up short vs Southlake Carroll, Luster put on a performance, showing off his laser like accuracy tossing two touchdown passes, which he completed to his wideout in double coverage.
