Round three had some thrillers and the athletes listed below did a great job improving their recruiting stock and helped their team advance to the next round of the playoffs.
Dj Bailey – Desoto High School – Class of 2024
DJ is a battle-tested field general for the Eagles squad and has put on a show in the playoffs thus far. The rising 2024 dual-treat quarterback prospect has been playing lights out and delivered some darts (great throws) that resulted in explosive plays. He is patient in the pocket and possesses a live arm along with great football IQ. His ability to extend the play with his legs is impressive but he has shown the ability to drop back and pick apart defenses from the pocket.

Nate Kibble Nate Kibble 6'3" | 290 lbs | OL Atascocita | 2024 State TX – Atascocita High school – Class of 2024
Nate is a 6’3, 290-pound top-rated offensive lineman out of the Houston area.
He has lived up to his ranking this fall and put on an absolute blocking clinic in the third round. He has been a cornerstone of Atascocita’s run game in the playoffs. He is a dominant prospect with a very good baseline of technique and a great nasty mean streak that will help play early in college. Once the playoffs start and the level of competition gets higher most linemen will see a decrease in their knockdown blocks statistically but he was able to consistently finishing guys to the ground all night and was a headache for Ridge Point’s defensive front.
Drew Perez – Southlake High- Class of 2023
Drew is a 6’8 330 pounds massive OT out of Southlake Carrol that has continued to help his squad dominate in the run game on the ground. This past week he did a great job of digging out his defender on double teams and finishing on linebackers in space. He is a very large man but has been impressive with his ability to bend and mirror on the edge. He dominated his matchups versus a talented and very scrappy McKinney high front seven. The Colorado commit will need to keep bringing the intensity as the competition will be elevated in round 4.
Nick Cravaritis – Katy – Class of 2023
Nick is a 6’6 offensive tackle with great length, good length, and has been playing great football in the playoffs so far. In round three he continued to play consistently and was a huge factor in Katy’s run game success. He recently picked up a full-ride scholarship offer from Culver-Stockton college and with his length, intangibles, 3.7 GPA, and production in the playoffs I predict the offers to keep rolling in. Next week they will need him to continue to play well as they face off against a tougher round 4 opponent.
Johntay Cook II Johntay Cook II 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR DeSoto | 2023 State TX – Desoto – Class of 2023
Johntay is an explosive athlete with great hands, good speed, great speed in and out of his cuts and a nose for the endzone. The twitchy receiver was a match-up nightmare and he had many explosive plays on the night. What was even more impressive about him was his willingness and ability to block down the field. The Texas commit had a great performance and he will need to continue to have big plays to keep their state title hopes alive.
