As teams finally hit the field for their first official games, PrepRedzone got a chance to see some game film. Here are the guys that looked like they put in a lot of work this offseason

‘21 Ryan McGuire - South Fayette - WR: A small school type of WR, he has great hands and body control. He finds the open spaces in the defense and makes a play. He is fun to watch. He is limited with size and speed but he gets the job done.

‘22 [player_tooltip player_id="27637" first="Ethan" last="Hiester"] - Upper St Clair - LB: I think Hiester has turned the corner this off season. He is playing like an FBS level linebacker. He is moving well and hitting harder. On offense, he is a force to tackle. It is clear he has made major improvements from his sophomore season. He need to keep pace with what he had been doing, and he will be a hot commodity.

‘22 [player_tooltip player_id="27627" first="Devin" last="Whitlock"] - Belle Vernon - ATH: Small yet electrifying. The shifty speed back was a major reason why his Belle Vernon Leopards upset noted powerhouse McKeesport. The junior is small in stature but makes plays when you need him to. He reminds us of PJ Fulmore who went on to have a good career at FCS Duquesne.

‘21 [player_tooltip player_id="27216" first="Wahkeem" last="Roman"] - Highlands - OL: The multi-use big man can play O line or DT, but we like him as a guard. He shows explosion and physicalness. Moves pretty well when pulling and it shows he is athletic. Right now if you’re an FCS school you would love this kid. Could play at some smaller FBS teams.

‘22 Anthony Mackey - Chartiers Valley - QB: Mackey put the ball in great spots all night long. Has great arm strength and fit the ball into tight windows when he needed to. He also had two TDs on the ground. I wouldn’t consider him a dual-threat but he has enough to keep a defense honest.

‘23 Amari Mack - Greensburg CC - ATH: The return specialist made a killing on special teams this week. He played just about every position he could have. He has great speed and burst and will be a nightmare for DCs all year long. He will be a name to watch for a long time.
