Analysis: The Panthers are coming off a loss to Muskegon in the Division 3 semifinals last season, but they have plenty to be excited about in 2020 with the talent they return on their roster. Junior quarterback Ty Holtz is likely the new starter under center and he has plenty of weapons at his disposal on this offense. Junior receiver [player_tooltip player_id="30211" first="Tommy" last="McIntosh"] is a high level talent that already holds a couple D1 offers. Senior [player_tooltip player_id="29661" first="Luke" last="Bresser"] and junior Bryce Debri join McIntosh to form a very good receiving corp. [player_tooltip player_id="29953" first="KyRen" last="Geller"] is the leader up front and will be a key part of the offense’s success this season. On defense, the Panthers have one of the best linebacker groups in the state. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id="30094" first="Blake" last="Beachnau"], [player_tooltip player_id="30098" first="Grant" last="Uyl"] and [player_tooltip player_id="30092" first="Andrew" last="Debri"] are all college level talents that will make things tough for opposing offenses. DeWitt may not boast the amount of D1 talent that some of the other programs in their division do, but they are a really solid team that has the potential to take that next step and get to the state title game.
