It is time to witness that first week of madness. Who will go home unexpectedly? Who makes it out of the first round alive? Starkville has found their way. They have won three straight district title games after finding a way to turn things around after the district games started. They have [player_tooltip player_id='340868' first='CJ' last='Willis'] who is normally a defensive back that is getting a lot more time at running back. I think his senior leadership keeps them going on offense. [player_tooltip player_id='139597' first='Braylon' last='Burnside'] and [player_tooltip player_id='340821' first='Jaylon' last='York'] are both holding it down on that side. Jemar McCarter has been stepping up big as of late as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Just know that Southaven is in their shoes for a reason. [player_tooltip player_id='107045' first='John' last='Slaughter'] is the truth and he will put this team on his shoulder. You can bet your last dollar on that one. Southaven has been impressive all season. They are hungry and they are very much the underdogs. I definitely would not be surprised if they won this game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Madison Central vs South Panola</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is going to be a very good game. DeAndre Pullen is ready to rock and roll. [player_tooltip player_id='108930' first='Vic' last='Sutton'] is healthy and is ready to sling the rock. [player_tooltip player_id='346401' first='Ryan' last='McCall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='340827' first='Braxton' last='Barney'] are ready to hold down the trenches on the defense. Can't forget about guys like Jou Koury on their offensive line. This team is going to be ready to play some big 6A football this Friday. Look for them to be very balanced Friday. They can tote the football on the ground and put it in the air. Can't forget they have Denym Mitchell on defense as well</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>South Panola won't be quick to lay down Friday now. They have Julian Pope aka JuJu Pope who does an excellent job from the backfield as well. They also have [player_tooltip player_id='346336' first='Michael' last='Johnson'] out wide at receiver. The Tigers are going to want to show that they still have some of their old school ways. Their head coach was the 4A state runner up last year and he knows how to get to the promised land. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a very close game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Warren Central vs Gulfport </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I can see a lot of people expecting Warren Central to win this game. The young man [player_tooltip player_id='350949' first='Ronnie' last='Blossom'] on defense is the most I know about this team concerning individual players. I know he will have a high motor and will get after Gulfport's quarterback all night. Warren Central has been playing very good football all season. They want to return back to their championship stages of the old days.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gulfport has stuck around and fought hard. It isn't easy making the playoffs down in the division they have played in. I think their team has a chance to win this game Friday night.
