Throughout the state of Georgia, QB's have continued to step up their game, especially as it has gotten to be very late in the regular season. Their production in terms of passing yards, and more, have been integral in their team's success, as well as their personal success. Below, we have listed the current passing leaders in the state going into what can be seen to be the last regular season game for plenty of players on this list. With that being said, it will be interesting to see how things shape up.
[player_tooltip player_id='400143' first='Keegan' last='Stover']- Rabun County
Even though Rabun County has played 10 games, Stover has only played in 9- and he has still found a way to lead the entire state of Georgia in total passing yards. After 10 games, and 9 games of play, Stover has racked up a total of 2,701 passing yards, with an average of 300 yards a game. In addition to this, he has also completed around 65% of his passes, which happened to come on 165 completions out of 253 attempts. All of these attempts and yards also came with an impressive total of 32 TD's, and 0 interceptions. Expect his numbers to continue to grow as he leads his team into the playoffs in the coming weeks.
Tate Morris- McIntosh
After 9 games, even despite McIntosh's overall record, and regional record, Morris has still performed wonderfully with total passing yards. While he has thrown for 19 TD's, and 9 interceptions, he has displayed the ability to push the ball down the field and has been able to put up a total of 2,693 yards when doing so. This has come with an average of 299 yards a game, and a 65% completion percentage. Going forward, it will be incredibly important for him to work on ball security, and to take full advantage of this last regular season game, as any yards he puts up will be a determining factor of his placement on this list moving forward.
[player_tooltip player_id='321460' first='Aaron' last='Philo']- Prince Avenue
In just 8 games, Philo has put up incredible numbers. So far, he has thrown for 2,643 yards in an 8 game span. This has also come with 31 TD's, and 5 interceptions. It is also notable that he has passed for a completion percentage of 67%, and has shown efficiency, and production that could potentially help him climb on this list before it is all said and done. As the regular season winds down for he and his team, take some time to follow up to see if he manages to do so.
[player_tooltip player_id='327217' first='Ben' last='Guthrie']- Alpharetta
While Guthrie is not super far off from Philo in total passing yards, it is also important to note that he did so in 9 games, rather than 8. In the 9 games Guthrie has played in, he has thrown for 2,624 yards, with an average of 291.6 yards a game. To add to this, he has also thrown for 33 TD's, to only 5 interceptions. Along with this, he has also passed for a 62% completion rate, proving how efficient he has been. Look for him to continue to put up numbers as he and his team inch closer to the playoffs due to their 5-0 regional record at this point of time.
[player_tooltip player_id='206164' first='Julian' last='Lewis']- Carrollton
Even though Lewis is a young prospect, he is still getting more looks from top tier college programs than most players in the state. He is getting offers left and right, and is also racking up an impressive total of yards along the way. At this point of the season, he has thrown for 2,599 yards, and an average of 259.9 yards a game. In addition to this he has also completed 181 of his 272 passes. This has resulted in a completion percentage of 66%. Even more impressive is the fact that he has thrown for 34 TD's. This kind of production not only has him positioned on this list, but has put his team at a 10-0 record, poised for the playoffs.
