Tevita Valeti Tevita Valeti 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Springville | 2024 State UT || RB || 6’1 || 205 || Springville High School || 2024
Valeti led the state in rushing yards (1,706) and touchdowns (22). The Red Devils’ explosive back does a great job planting his foot in the ground and changing directions. Valeti never wares down no matter how many carries he gets a game and continues to shake off tacklers well into the fourth quarter. He possesses outstanding vision and awareness while carrying the ball, which allows him to turn short runs into touchdowns. Valeti also has exceptional speed he uses to break away from tacklers. As a result, the junior running back will have a chance to repeat his titles in the fall of 2024.
Chandler Kelsch || LB || 5’10 || 170 || Park City High School || 2023
Kelsch was one of the key components of a stout Miners defense. He finished the season with over 100 tackles as he created chaos in the front seven. The speedy linebacker does a great job flying past offensive linemen to make tackles for loss. Kelsch knows where the ball is whenever he’s on the field, enabling him to limit offenses no matter how they try and attack him and the Park City defense. He’s a strong open-field tackler who uses his speed to close on ball carries quickly. Park City will have a hard time finding someone who locks down the middle of the field like Kelsch.
Nash Matheson || WR || 6’1 || 190 || Brighton High School || 2024
Matheson competed in the first high school football game of the season on Thursday, August 11th. The Bengal’s star receiver would haul in 16 catches for 194 yards that night to start a phenomenal junior season. He would finish the year with over 70 receptions and over 1,000 yards. Matheson was an elite red zone threat who scored two touchdowns in six games. He can run any route and tracks the ball as well as any player in the state. Matheson is an outstanding route runner who creates separation with ease. Expect a big senior season from him next fall.
Brigham Morrison || LB || 6’1 || 182 || Bountiful High School || 2024
Morrison was sensationally patrolling the middle of the field for the Red Hawks in 2022. The 6’1 linebacker finished the year with over 85 tackles as he hounded offenses under the Friday night lights. Morrison’s strong in coverage and shines, slowing down the run game. He does a great job flowing to the ball and hits like a truck. Morrison is an exaptational blitzer who uses his elite athleticism to track down quarterbacks. The junior linebacker will be even more formidable in 2023.
