These guys are workhorses and produce for their teams in a number of ways. Here are the top unsigned/unoffered 6A skill players!
Jordan Olagbaju Jordan Olagbaju 5'11" | 195 lbs | ATH Maple Grove | 2023 State MN : Maple Grove RB 5’10” 205 lbs
Olagbaju has had a breakout season of sorts, earning high praise from a variety of people including some fellow PrepRedzone scouts! Through the first 7 games of the season, Olagbaju has over 625 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. Watching the film, it’s clear to me how talented Olagbaju is. He is an explosive ball carrier who refuses to be brought down. He’s shown some pass-catching ability and absolutely mauls opponents when he is blocking. He can stop and start on a dime and has the ability to make incredible jump cuts. When he doesn’t cut, he runs over defenders who are in his way. Coaches need to be all over this kid, as Olagbaju would make a welcome addition to many colleges.
Deyon Loveless: Wayzata RB 6′ 195 lbs
Another ball carrier who’s been having a fantastic season, Loveless is a big part of Wayzata’s offense. Loveless has notched just over 575 yards through 7 games with 7 TDs and 0 fumbles. One thing I love about him is his agility. Loveless is extremely nimble and explodes into the open field after hitting a hole. He makes great cuts both at the line of scrimmage and further downfield if need be. If it’s an arm tackle he’s breaking it. Loveless currently holds no offers.
Joey Krouse Joey Krouse 5'10" | 185 lbs | WR Prior Lake | 2023 State MN : Prior Lake Ath 5’10” 185 lbs
Krouse is an absolutely electric athlete. His vision of the field is unmatched by high school athletes. At the 7-game mark, he has notched over 400 rushing yards, almost 150 receiving yards, and 4 TOT. (1 90-yard kick return TD too). Krouse has crazy breakaway speed, which paired with his elite vision makes him a very dangerous return man. His hands are like glue, and if there is an opportunity for him to get in the open field, he’s gone. You can legitimately line him up almost anywhere on the field, offense or defense, and you’ll get a high-caliber player. He currently holds one offer from Bemidji State. (D2)
Will Priest Will Priest 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Rosemount | 2023 State MN : Rosemount RB 5’10” 185 lbs
Priest has played an important role in Rosemount’s 8-0 start to the season. The senior RB has 561 rushing yards and 5 TDs while averaging 6.9 yards per carry. He is dangerously shifty and has a good vision of the field. One thing Priest does very well is he never stops moving his feet, even when being tackled. This allows the senior back to gain extra yards when other backs would be tackled after only 2-3 yards. Priest is dangerous in the open field and has shown the ability to extend short pass plays with crazy YAC ability. Priest currently holds 0 offers.
Henry Saykeo Henry Saykeo 5'11" | 165 lbs | RB Burnsville | 2023 MN : Burnsville Ath 5’11” 165
Burnsville has had a turnaround season of sorts and that is in no small part to Saykeo. He’s a jack-of-all-trades athlete, who you can plug and play anywhere on the field. He has over 500 all-purpose yards at the end of the regular season and 3 TDs. Some may highlight Saykeo for his prowess on the defensive side of the ball, but I think he’s equally as valuable on offense. He explodes through the line of scrimmage and has great acceleration when he’s carrying the ball. Saykeo currently holds no offers.
Tyler Walden Tyler Walden 6'2" | 210 lbs | RB Eden Prairie | 2023 State MN : Eden Prairie RB 6’2″ 220 lbs
Tyler Walden Tyler Walden 6'2" | 210 lbs | RB Eden Prairie | 2023 State MN has been an absolute DOG this season. At the end of the regular season, Walden is just shy of 700 rushing yards and has notched 10 rushing TDs. This bruiser back plows through opponents and is surprisingly agile for a man of his size. Walden has good speed but is best used as a power back who is almost guaranteed to get you 3 yards a carry. Don’t be fooled though, this kid is a broken tackle machine who can extend any play at the drop of a hat if defenders aren’t careful. Walden currently holds no offers.
Alex Swiatkiewicz: STMA WR 6’4″ 170 lbs
Swiatkiewicz is a lanky wideout who can easily exploit mismatches with smaller corners. In 7 games he has recorded over 275 yards and 3 TDs averaging 10.6 yards per reception. Breaking down the film you can clearly see how he uses his size to his advantage, his catch radius is massive. If the ball is thrown anywhere near him it’s his. He absorbs contact on big hits and doesn’t drop the ball. Plain and simple if it’s a 1v1 situation, Swiatkiewicz is winning. He currently holds no offers.
Eli Lenort Eli Lenort 6'0" | 180 lbs | WR Wayzata | 2023 State MN : Wayzata WR 6′ 180 lbs
Lenort has been on my radar for quite some time, and for good reason. He’s totaled just shy of 400 yards for his senior campaign, with 3 TDs too. Averaging 16.4 yards a reception, Lenort has been playing phenomenally. Few corners can hang with his speed, and his release off the line is crazy too. One of my favorite parts about his game is how relentless he is when blocking. He has no problem hit-sticking a linebacker or pancaking a DB downfield. His effort on plays where he knows he isn’t getting the ball is key in opening up bigger plays for other athletes. Lenort is an explosive athlete who currently holds no offers.
Michael Gross Michael Gross 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Eden Prairie | 2023 State MN : EP WR 6’3″ 170 lbs
Gross has been a central part of Eden Prairie’s passing attack this season. The senior recorded over 450 yards and 2 TDs in his senior campaign while averaging 16.7 yards per reception. Watching the film it becomes clear how good of an athlete Gross is. He has great body control and fantastic field awareness. He seems to always manage to get a foot down and stay within bounds. He’s got surprising speed and creates good separation in man coverage as well. Gross currently holds 0 offers.
Eli Paulson: Anoka Ath 5’9″ 150 lbs
I’ve known about Paulson for a long time. I’ve enjoyed watching the standout wrestler launch opponents across mats for the last 2 or 3 years. The only thing that could rival his success in the winter is that in the fall. In 8 games Paulson has over 1130 receiving yards and 9 TDs. Truthfully I cannot say enough positive things about him and his game. He’s 5’9″ but he catches all sorts of passes thrown around him that you would not expect someone of his size to make. His speed is absolutely crazy and you can see DBs struggle to stay even near him. His agility is off the charts as he can cut at the drop of a hat. And if his physical talents weren’t good enough, Paulson is a great route runner. He highpoints balls perfectly and if you let him get more than a yard of space from a defender he’s gone. You would be hard-pressed to find a wideout in Minnesota better than Paulson. Paulson currently has 0 offers.
Parker Durkin Parker Durkin 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Edina | 2023 State MN : Edina WR 6’2″ 185 lbs
In Edina’s pass-heavy offense, Parker Durkin Parker Durkin 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Edina | 2023 State MN s has been a consistent and reliable target throughout the season. The senior notched just over 280 yards and 1 TD in the regular season while averaging about 8 yards per reception. Durkin is a crisp route runner and an overall good athlete. He is a short route specialist and is a YAC monster. Durkin uses his speed very well to maximize screens and has good vision which makes him very dangerous in the open field. He currently holds 0 offers.
Riley Schwellenbach: East Ridge WR 5’8″ 150 lbs
Don’t be fooled by Schwellenbach’s size, he is a monster on the field. Through 8 games he has just under 925 yards with 11 TDs while averaging 23.7 yards per reception. Schwellenbach sees work from a variety of wide receiver positions. He uses his quick feet and smooth route running to create great separation from the DB. He makes great adjustments while running the route which allows him to get create further space when a play breaks down, which typically results in a massive play for him. His release off the line is fantastic, immediately he gets a yard of separation with a variety of moves. His ability to make plays in the open field combined with his fantastic speed and the fact that he always manages to lose a DB means he is a big play machine. Don’t sleep on Schwellenbach during the playoffs either, this kid is a game-changer. He currently holds 0 offers.
Ford Griffith: Wayzata WR 5’9″ 155 lbs
Another one of the Trojan’s air threats, Griffith has been essential in Wayzata’s success this year. He has 365 yards through 7 games with 2 TDs while averaging 15.9 yards per reception. Griffith is quick and shifty and takes advantage of DBs playing off with a fast first step. He’s another short route specialist who always makes sure to secure the ball after the catch and has no problem taking a hit from a bigger defender. Griffith currently holds 0 offers.
Sam Nolan Sam Nolan 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Lakeville North | 2023 MN : Lakeville North 6′ 175 lbs
Nolan has been the favorite target for his QB all season long. Through only 6 games, he’s recorded over 450 yards with 3 touchdowns while averaging 18.8 yards per reception. Nolan is extremely well-rounded. He’s got good speed, good route running ability, and always seems to come down with 50/50 balls despite only being 6′ tall. He finds ways to extend plays after short passes, and when coming down with the deep ball he often has good separation between himself and DBs. He absorbs contact and doesn’t drop passes. Nolan currently holds 0 offers.
Thomas Jacobs Thomas Jacobs 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Stillwater Area | 2023 MN : Stillwater Ath 5’10” 165 lbs
Jacobs has been a reliable athlete playing everywhere for the Ponies all season. He’s amassed over 600 all-purpose yards through 7 games and has 7 total touchdowns. He gets most of his work from catching the ball where he averages 11.9 yards per reception. Jacobs is a disciplined route runner and a good athlete, despite tight coverage from some of the best DBs in the state, Jacobs still manages to come away with the ball. Jacobs currently holds one offer from UW-River Falls. (D3)
Vatel Henderson: White Bear Lake WR 6’3″ 180 lbs
Henderson is a big body jump ball threat who has been an essential part of White Bear Lake’s success this season. He has 500 all-purpose yards through 6 games with 2 TDs as well. Most of his work has come from the receiving game where he averages 16.2 yards per reception. He just mosses DBs and proves incredibly difficult to bring down once he starts going. He also is a very effective blocker in the run game, as he uses his big frame to kick out DBs. Henderson currently holds 0 offers.
Derrik Brown Jr Derrik Brown Jr 5'10" | 165 lbs | RB Park of Cottage Grove | 2023 MN : Park of Cottage Grove RB 5’11” 195 lbs
Brown has been a stat sheet monster this season, amassing over 1100 all-purpose yards and 10 TDs in 8 games. Most of his work comes from the ground where he averages around 5.6 yards per carry. The first thing you notice about this kid though is his versatility. He can run, catch passes out of the backfield, return kicks, and punt too. The second thing is how crazy his speed and acceleration are. Once he hits a hole he turns on the jets and is gone. Brown is also very patient, he doesn’t rush and waits for his Oline to open up holes. Combine this with some crazy elusive, and you get a standout back who needs more hype. Brown currently has 0 offers.
Ot Omot Ot Omot 6'4" | 165 lbs | WR Park of Cottage Grove | 2023 State MN : Park of Cottage Grove WR 6’5″ 170 lbs
Omot is a problem for defenses. In 8 games this year, he’s racked up over 600 and 7 TDs. All while averaging 20.1 yards per reception. Watching his tape it’s mind boggling how he doesn’t have more offers. Leaving him in a 1v1 situation is a horrible idea. Not only does he use his huge frame to catch everything in a quarter mile, Omot has wheels too. If he doesn’t just moss you, you’re going to get torched. Omot is an insane deep threat who could be a game changer for colleges. He currently has 0 offers.
David Ola-Kazeem David Ola-Kazeem 6'1" | 160 lbs | WR Park Of Cottage Grove | 2023 State MN : Park of Cottage Grove WR 6’1″ 155 lbs
Park is loaded with offensive talent and Ola-Kazeem is no exception. The senior wideout racked up just under 450 yards and 5 TDs in 8 games while averaging 12.1 yards per reception. Holy cow is this kid elusive. Defenders just seem to slide off of him as he runs by. Ola-Kazeem has good speed, and a good vertical to match what is some very good short route running. He’s shifty on his feet and can easily make plays in the open field. Ola-Kazeem currently holds one offer from Bemidji State. (D2)
Damien Bentho Damien Bentho 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Brainerd | 2023 MN : Brainerd RB 5’10” 185 lbs
Bentho is another stat sheet monster. Over the course of 8 games he has racked up more than 1100 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. All this while averaging 5.3 yards per carry. Bentho uses his great acceleration and quick feet to hit holes and turn upfield fast. He follows his blockers well, and makes well-timed cuts to exploit holes in the defense. He doesn’t shy away from contact either, as it looks like he enjoys running through defenders. Bentho currently holds no offers.
Dominick Oelmann: Coon Rapids WR 5’9″ 150 lbs
I covered Oelmann earlier in the season and was not disappointed. Through 8 games he has over 300 all purpose yards and 6 TDs. Most of this has come from his work catching the ball, where he averaged 10.1 yards per reception. His ability to track the ball is almost unmatched, and combined with good speed, solid route running, and some serious elusivity makes Oelmann a dangerous redzone target. He currently holds no offers.
Peter McGivern Peter McGivern 6'3" | 180 lbs | WR Eagan | 2023 MN : Eagan WR 6’3″ 185 lbs
In an offense that runs over 85% of the time, McGivern doesn’t get a chance to truly shine. When he gets his opportunities though, he makes the most of it. McGivern is a big physical receiver who lays it all out on every play. He bullies opposing DBs with his size and uses his great vertical to high point passes. He’s not afraid of laying a block either, as he often pancakes DBs. He currently holds 0 offers.
Landon Tonsager Landon Tonsager 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Eagan | 2023 MN : Eagan RB 6′ 195 lbs
Tonsager is perhaps the most underrated back in 6A football. In his 8 games he ran for 960 yards and 10 touchdowns. Breaking down the film you see how quick he is. Tonsager hits the hole at a 100 miles an hour and can cut on a dime. He boasts a mean stiff arm that he uses to bully defenders. Also of note is his incredible balance, several times you can see him get knocked nearly down but he finds a way to keep going. Tonsager and the Wildcats look to make a deep playoff run this year following some serious in-season success. Tonsager currently holds 0 offers.
