2021 QB Prospects Who Need To Show Out This Season

In each class, there are players who hope to show out, and provide themselves more opportunities to play football at the next level. Some players, such as QB’s, have more of a challenge in doing so, especially if they are in the 2021 class and only have one more season left to play. Here, we have listed a few QB’s in the 2021 class who we think need to show out this season to gain more exposure, thus granting them opportunities to play at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="33788" first="Brady" last="Meitz"]- 6’2 175 North Forsyth [player_tooltip player_id="33788" first="Brady" last="Meitz"] is perhaps the best QB on this list, and has the potential to have a good season, thus granting him more opportunities at the next level. To start, he makes certain throws very well, such as the comeback route, that will translate well into the next level. With this, he has decent ball placement, okay arm strength, and he can see the field at a high level. At this time, schools like Columbia are interested in him, but we see him to have the potential to receive a few FCS offers if he cleans up his choppy footwork, and can remain consistent in his throwing mechanics. It will be exciting to see where this season takes Meitz. [player_tooltip player_id="33830" first="Ronnie" last="Baker"]- 5’11 160 Thomasville [player_tooltip player_id="33830" first="Ronnie" last="Baker"] is a very athletic QB with upside to potentially change positions if necessary at the next level. This 2020 football season will prove to be key for him as he looks to gain attention from smaller schools that would either want him to be a dual threat option, or even a WR. With this being said, while Baker is not too polished of a passer, he also has a quick release for short routes, and he shows flashes of a decently strong arm. He has some arm talent as well, and decent ball placement, but we would love to see him make a leap this year, and to be able to open the door for himself with opportunities to play at the next level. One thing that jumps off of the screen is his ability to throw the ball very hard, and very fast. With this comes flashes of accuracy, but there can also be times where a few balls get away from him. Regardless, Hogan has a very strong arm, but mechanically, he has a long way to go. To start, he has a short and quick release, but can also be inconsistent in his throwing motion at the same time. While this can help him when he has to throw off balance for awkward passes, it can also hinder him with clean throws. Overall, we feel that Hogan has plenty of upside, but would like to see him tie it all together. If he shows out this season, with a large amount of progression, we expect him to start to receive small school offers.
