Get started with this week's HS football action here in Tennessee with game previews, predictions & more!

Week Six Schedule (Top Games)

McKenzie (5-0) at West Carroll (4-1)

Knox. West (5-0) at Alcoa (5-0)

Jackson Chrst. (4-0) at USJ (4-1)

Rockvale (4-1) at Nolensville (5-0)

Stone Memorial (5-0) at York Institute (4-1)

East Nashville (5-0) at Independence (3-2)

- McKenzie will face its toughest opponent yet this season against WC and while the Eagles should give them a tough game for a bit, the Rebels should come out on top, especially with the superb athleticism of [player_tooltip player_id='102344' first='Marquez' last='Taylor'].

- One of the biggest games of the season takes place Thursday night between the road Rebels and one of the best in the state with Alcoa. These are two undefeated, state title contending teams that many will have the Tornadoes as the favorite but the Rebels will be ready for the challenge.

- Can the Eagles and their undefeated season remain after a big road test against a talented 6A program in Independence? We shall see as this will be the biggest challenge yet for East Nashville. For the Eagles to win this game, they must lean on their rushing attack and O-line against [player_tooltip player_id='301346' first='Brooks' last='Sapone'] and the Indy defense.

Harpeth (4-1) at McEwen (3-1)

Page (5-0) at Giles Co. (4-1)

Collierville (5-0) at Whitehaven (2-3)

Cane Ridge (4-1) at CPA (3-2)

Peabody (4-1) at Dyersburg (3-2)

Smyrna (4-0) at Riverdale (3-2)

- The undefeated Patriots better watch out this Friday because they face a physical and feisty Bobcats team that is primed to pull an upset. Giles Co. likes to run the ball and the one area where the Patriots might be the weakest is their D-line, so this will be a very interesting matchup that could swing either way.

- Collierville is proving to be one of the best teams in the state thus far but they have yet to be truly challenged. Maybe that happens this Friday when they face a battered but still hungry Whitehaven team that will be eager to pull the upset. The Dragons must lean on their stout defensive line to win this game, led by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='225961' first='Jaden' last='McKinney'] and [player_tooltip player_id='150360' first='Sam' last='Hultz'].

- The biggest challenge of the season for Smyrna takes place tomorrow night in Murfreesboro when the undefeated Bulldogs face-off with a talented Riverdale Warriors team. The home squad has been struggling of late but certainly have the talent to defeat [player_tooltip player_id='102193' first='Arion' last='Carter'] and his Bulldogs team, so this should be an interesting game to follow.

Greeneville (5-0) at Dobyns-Bennett (5-0)

Henry Co. (3-2) at South Gibson (4-1)

Green Hill (4-1) at White Co. (4-1)

Huntingdon (4-1) at Milan (4-1)

Moore Co. (4-1) at Wayne Co. (4-1)

Memp. Central (3-2) at Southwind (4-1)

- A battle of undefeated teams takes place Friday night at Dobyns-Bennett as the Indians host possibly the best team in the 4A ranks in Greeneville. The road Green Devils have been tested so far this season but these Indians will be facing their biggest challenge yet. The home team may be feeling good about this game but I feel the road team will come away with the win.

- Can Henry Co. right the ship and get their season back on track, in search for a 5A title berth? Well if they want that to happen, they need to beat South Gibson on Friday night and they need their star QB in [player_tooltip player_id='102210' first='Ryan' last='Damron'] to lead the way.

- The Jaguars of Southwind have put together a stellar start to their season but it will get tougher from here on out. It starts with a big home game against a feisty Memp. Central team that is eyeing an upset. The Jags need to keep leaning on their talented defense, led by [player_tooltip player_id='149317' first='Kavion' last='Benton'] that has the ability to shut down the Warriors offense.

MBA (5-0) at Brentwood Academy (4-1)

Silverdale Academy (3-2) at DCA (3-2)

Portland (4-1) at Macon Co. (5-0)

Haywood (4-0) at Melrose (4-0)

Houston (4-1) at Germantown (5-0)

East Hamilton (3-1) at McMinn Co. (3-2)

- Possibly the top game of Week Six is the Big Red traveling down to Brentwood to take on the Eagles in what could be the D2-Class AAA region title game. Quarterbacked by [player_tooltip player_id='102308' first='Marcel' last='Reed'], the Big Red have been dominating so far this season but the Eagles may change that as they are talented and ready to take on the power from Nashville.

- Portland travels over to Macon Co. on Friday evening to put an end to the Tigers undefeated season but it will be tough as the home team is playing some real good football currently. The Panthers are on a roll too and will be bringing some athleticism on the road with them, like Mr. Do Everything senior [player_tooltip player_id='201089' first='Fredrick' last='Paxton'], so it will be interesting to see if Portland's skill players can make a difference against a strong Macon Co. defense.

- Can the Mustangs go on the road and take down the undefeated Red Devils? It's a possibility as Houston has some athleticism and speed that the Germantown defense will have to contend with. The Red Devils have played some tough games and are battle tested but the Mustangs are feeling good after beating down Whitehaven last week, so this might be a very intriguing game to follow.

Top Five Game Predictions

- Alcoa 38 Knox. West 17

- Page 20 Giles Co. 17

- MBA 28 Brentwood Acad. 24

- Greeneville 35 Dobyns-Bennett 24

- Independence 33 East Nashville 30
