The Gehlen Jays of head coach Jeremy Schindler will play host to the Eagles this Friday night from
LeMars Community Stadium. The Eagles of head coach Jason Garnand are looking for a 3-0 start for the
first time since 2012. The Jays have several key seniors, and the Eagles are getting great production from
their loaded junior class. This is an interesting Class A contest and should be a heck of a four-quarter football
game.

GEHLEN JAYS SCOUTING REPORT
The Jays are led by senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='152621' first='Conner' last='Kraft'] 30/46 passing for (299) yards and (3) scores. The key receiver
for the Jays is senior athlete [player_tooltip player_id='104718' first='Keaten' last='Bonderson'] who has (14) catches for (154) yards and (2) scores.
Senior TE Ryan Augustine is a nice target as well along with senior WR Keaton Logan. The running game
is led by senior Aiden Spangler who has carried (39) times for (187) and (2) touchdowns so far. The
defense is led by senior linebackers Brandon Gengler (9.0) tackles and (2.0) TFL. Augustine has (6.5)
tackles and cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='104718' first='Keaten' last='Bonderson'] has (6.5) tackles. The Jays have defeated Unity Christian 21-13
in the opener and then fell 50-35 to Hartley Melvin Sanborn last Friday. The Hawks ran for (557) yards
on the ground versus the Jays.

EAGLES SCOUTING REPORT
The Eagles are led by junior QB Braden Heiss who has thrown for (590) yards and (9) touchdowns in two
games. Heiss broke a school record for passing with (447) yards last Friday against Missouri Valley and
passed for (7) touchdowns. Heiss has a nice contingent of receivers to throw the ball too. Junior WR
Louden Grimsley (10) receptions for (186) yards and (3) scores along with junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='211690' first='Caleb' last='Garnand'] (9)
catches for (149) yards and (4) scores are both good in space and threats to take it to the house on any
play. Senior Jesse Oehlerking is another receiving option with (4) receptions for (124) yards. Senior RB
Brayden Williams (34) carries for (174) yards is dependable and runs between the tackles well.
Sophomore RB Cowan Jaminet is also a solid contributor at RB. The Eagles defense is led by sophomore
DE [player_tooltip player_id='1418222' first='Marcus' last='Silva'] who leads the team with (12.0) tackles and (4.5) TFL. Sophomore's Jaminet (10.5)
tackles and Will Hennen (10.0) tackles have performed well defensively.

ANALYSIS: This will be a fun game to watch. The Jays have a steady QB in Kraft and have been able to
move the ball through the air. The Eagles have a potent offense and have enough balance with the run
game that they can hurt you inside. I like the balance of the Eagles here in this spot and with the Jays
having given up (557) yards on the ground last week an opportunity for Williams to have a big game
could present itself.
