[player_tooltip player_id='276833' first='Gavin' last='Stotts'] - Pierre TF Riggs, MLB

Stotts was everywhere on the field in his dominating performance for Pierre while mainly playing MLB the entire game. Stotts tallied a solid 9 solo tackles along with 2 associated making his 11 total tackles a great force for his team's 48-0 win over Brookings High School. What Stotts did best in this game was how well he forced the offense to lose yards and make gaining yards nearly impossible. He had three tackles for a loss with his running stopping ability being a key factor in shutting down Brookings tough run game. He was everywhere in the field and was making plays anywhere that he could and was stopping anyone that came he was. His pass defense was even better, tallying an interception which he returned for yards to get his team great field position for his offense. Stotts had a game that was solid every where you look and played his heart on the field, without a doubt a top player that showed his talent last night.

Peyton Fridrich - Beresford High School, RB

Fridrich was the top offensive performer for his team and was arguably a key reason as to why they won their close 7-6 win over Canton. Fridrich had a total of 86 yards and averaged a total of 5.4 yards per carry, being over 1/3 of his team total yardage that he provided. He was the top rushing force on his team and was a gritty power rusher in this tight trench war of a game that had been played. Fridrich along with being a great back, was a great blocker in this game and made great blocks to set up passes and other rushers. Overall, he was a great player who gave much of the offensive production that his team needed in a tough win and allowed others to get open with how well he was doing.

[player_tooltip player_id='423288' first='Ben' last='Swatek'] - Elk Point-RB/OLB

Swatek was great on both sides of the ball and put up an inspiring performance in his team's overpowering win of 50-0 over Sioux Valley High School. On offense. Swatek was a great rusher who had 164 rushing yards on just 11 carries, with a whopping 14.9 yards per carrying on average. He was simply not able to be tackled and was breaking tackles like no other, not to mention his ability to juke out defenders when he gets out and open into the field. He tallied a total of 3 rushing touchdowns and shows why his team had an offense night that they did. He tallied some receiving yards too, doing a little bit of everything on the field with a 20-yard catch which he added on a receiving touchdown, overall a great offensive performance. On defense, he made some great tackles and stuffed the run incredibility, tackling anyone that came his way and making plenty of defensive plays for his team. Overall, Swatek was a great player on both sides of the ball showing why he is such a deadly talent on offense and a great stopper on defense.

Ben Brooks - Madison/QB

Brooks played like a dual threat at quarterback and showed as why he is a great one at that. Passing, he racked up 178 passing yards with a passing touchdown to boot that, even more impressively he did it on only 14 passes. What he did the best in this game was his rushing without a doubt, tallying a total of 126 rushing yards and only doing that on 6 total rushes. He had an 85-yard rush, not only was that the longest of the season but the longest of his past two years. He added on a rushing touchdown as well with that, making his total touchdown out to 2. Overall, he was a great dual threat for Madison who need him to give this great of performance after not the greatest game of his last week. Overall, he stepped up and played great, and was fun to watch while he did it.
