Harrison Central 0-1
The Red Rebels started the season with a close loss to a notable program called Oak Grove High School. The level of competition that their athletes displayed in that contest is a testament to their skill and ability. The game on the 26th of August helped point out key players for their team.

, 6-0 185 QB, Class of 2023
Christian was the Red Rebel’s main, and perhaps only key offensive playmaker in the contest against Oak Grove, Christian accounted for 200 yards of offense last Friday, which was impressive being the sole source of offensive production. Turner’s completion rate was not the best however every completion he did make went for considerable yardage. For Harrison Central to be successful this upcoming game Chrisitan will need to continue to compete at a high level
Kieron James, 6-1, 180 DB, Class of 2024
Kieron proved he was a tackling machine in the contest against Oak Grove. He came away with 10 total tackles proving to be a key force in stopping the opponents. Kieron plays with an aggressive instinct which puts him in the right place at the right time for him to make a play. In the future teams may be more hesitant to play the ball in his direction however he needs to consistently show this level of competition for that to be so. His production on the defense will prove to be important in this competition.
Tylertown 0-1
Tylertown also suffered a loss in a close game. Their opponents won by merely a point. It was evident from the ending score that Tylertown has the ability to find the endzone. It will be a true test of offensive effectiveness to play against the Red Rebels.
Amerion Jefferson, 5-8 170 QB Class of 2023
Amerion Jefferson did an exceptional job last week at commanding the offense and getting his team in positions to score. What was more impressive is Amerions’ double threat capability and his ability to make positive yardage out of broken plays. Although broken plays are not an effective way to run an offense it is certainly a great skill to have. For Tylertown to be successful this week Jefferson will need to be a great leader and play through some tough defense.
Ahmad Thompson, 6-3 235, DE Class of 2023
Ahmad is a great athlete with exceptional speed and explosive abilities. One can often see him making tackles in the backfield and pursing the ball carrier well beyond the line of scrimmage. Ahmad collected many tackles against their opponents last Friday but he will need to be equally if not more productive in order for his team to stand a chance. Ahmad possesses many great qualities that are crucial for playing defensive end it would be great to see him improve them to make him a true standout defensive player.
